Gay marriage, Islam, the war in Afghanistan, the Occupy movement, even a kiss between two men that aired on "Glee" - it all became grist for Jackson's comedic commentaries,

She's the personification of all that went wrong with SNL years back - she's a 3 minute skit who's attempted to become a feature length film.

Her career was over long before she went full retard, it still is, and it still would be even if she had possessed the wisdom to keep her stupid mouth shut. She displays a breathtaking level of unwarranted self importance.

It isn't so much a case of Victoria burning her bridges as much as it is a case of Victoria nuking her bridges and napalming the ashes.

Al Franken said that when he grew up, his family discussed politics every night around the dinner table, so that's what he's an expert at

Well, there's that.. plus the fact that he majored in government at Harvard.

Perhaps Victoria majored in being a no-talent ass-clown at Yale.

/Also, Andy Kaufman is-- or at least was-- Leon Redbone.

The British believe that King Aurthur will come back in the nation's time of need. I would like to believe that when we need him most Andy Kaufman and Bill Hicks will come back to save us all.

all of the sudden Al (Franken)   leans forward and says, 'Victoria, surely as a Christian you care about people's health care, surely you would believe in that.' And Victoria says, 'Well, if people died sooner, people will go to Heaven sooner.'

"And I start laughing because I thought she was being funny, and she says, 'No. They will meet Jesus sooner.'"

 *blink*

That's messed up.

After reading the article, I think she was one of those people who got famous in a pre-reality show era for being herself -- and herself was interesting because other people who did have comedic talent and ability were able to dance around her and make the show work. She wasn't one of those comics who invented a certain persona and who got famous doing it (like a Bobcat Goldthwait or a Bob Saget) -- she was just herself, and because people like Johnny Carson and Lorne Michaels found her endearing and naturally funny, she was easy to work into the show.

And that's exactly why her star fell so fast - the people who supported her dropped out of the game or moved on and the new people coming up through the ranks were competing with her for a job. She was underqualified for the work she had and couldn't find a way to transition into something more significant. So, she got pushed aside, ignored and forgotten. (I remember one of the bits in an SNL anniversary special was her standing up in an audience and interrupting Jon Lovitz during a routine and asking whatever happened to her. That was the joke, and it was painful.)

As the article says, what made her interesting again was being this has-been comedienne who suddenly seemed to go full derp... though the article points out that she always leaned this way and didn't feel the need to speak up until her star had already fallen and she had nothing to lose. Had she been more savvy, she could have perhaps spun this into a comeback, but she's not that person. She really is the vile, hateful monster she appears to be.

In a post-reality era, we don't see actors and actresses rise up in the same way, because we have reality TV to do that for us. Lucky us?

Easy, baby! And what's with the sneering crap? Don't do that to the people, they want to like you! That's what killed Dennis day - contempt for the audience. Luther Campbell! What about the chick's head?

Also note: she's 53. In Hollywood, being a 53-year-old woman is generally a bad career move. It shouldn't be, of course, but it is.

It's too bad she's not a bit younger and a lot hotter. Roger Ailes would lick that shiat up in a second.

I read her book (I've read every other SNL book too) and even with professional editing she comes off more unhinged and damaged than both Jay Mohr and Darell Hammond put together. And that was before she started discussing politics. I really enjoyed Tom Davis' book.

I hope Victoria gets help, the crazy isn't an act.

Her career was over UNTIL she went full retard, and then Fox News started sending her paychecks when Hollywood wouldn't.

If it is an act, it's time to come clean. That might be the one thing that actually could revive her career, and she's really taken this as far as it will go.

The irony is that subby's headline is only funny if you accept the fact that Hollywood is run and populated by liberals.
