Didn't like the first one. Solid bet, this one will be just as bad.

/Jim Carrey and Wil Ferrell, same character over and over and over and over and over....ad nauseum

Sorry to threadjack,

but when does The Newsroom come back?  I remember hearing they fired the entire writing staff last season so it should be interesting to see where this thing goes.

No he's half right.  Wrong on Jim Carrey.  The man can do more than talk with his butt.  But Will Ferrel is over-committed and unaware of cultural norms in every role.  It's a great formula as a supporting character but grating as a lead.

Sometime in June I believe.

That was more directed at his dislike for the first movie...

Stranger than Fiction is amazing.

Lloyd: "All we need to do is show a little class, a little sophistication, and we're in like a dirty shirt."
Harry: "No problem, Lloyd. We can be classy and sophistic... Oh check out the funbags on that hosehound."
Lloyd: "I'd like to eat her liver with some fava beans and a nice bottle of Chianti."
Both: (slurping sounds)

Everything Must Go he was pretty good in too, even if the movie itself is a little underwhelming. I like watching him  in his movies where he doesn't do shtick. I like his shtick movies too

Jim Carey is alright if you go in with some idea of what you're getting into.  You generally watch one of his movies for reasons (surreal/slapstick humor) similar to wanting to watch one of the Expendables movies (stuff exploding for little or no reason).  The Truman Show is the only thing I recall offhand where he's tried being remotely serious, and it didn't really work for me.  As long as you go in expecting to laugh at absurd stuff, you're golden.

Channing Tatum would be an excellent addition to the cast.  He was fantastic as a comedic actor in 21 Jump Street.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Man on the Moon are two excellent movies with a serious Jim Carrey.
