Holy crap that was fun!

Tangentially... you couldn't have paid me enough to have been the dude responsible for stopping the ~500 lb tractor tire.

I giggled at the last tire.
Then I laughed hysterically when they started playing Tsubasa wo Kudasai (Give me Wings) in the background.
Entertaining! :D

I've got a couple of old motorcycle tires laying around that they could've added to the mix. Didn't see any of those.

That was tiring.

Sad King Billy

I want to do that. Except at night, and I want to pack one of those tires with as much fireworks as it can hold and have them going off while it's in flight.

I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

I did something similar, but it was with a washing machine motor down an apartment complex garbage chute from 9 stories up into an empty dumpster.

The KAWHOOMBLAMAMAWHUMP when it hit bottom was ear-splitting.

ReapTheChaos: The Man Who Laughs: Farty McPooPants: I agree the lab coats made it official and sciencey.
Why don't we have these kinds of shows?  Are you listening, ESPN?

You mean like Mythbusters?

fark Mythbusters. They waste to much time trying to get all sciency, they would have spent 30 minutes analyzing the density of the tires, checking the tread depth, balancing them and 20 other tests. Just roll them down the ramp already.

yup, and cutting to commercial before each tire hit the end of the ramp, and then returning to the show but not to the tire jump myth, but rather some side myth that the other three were working on.  I hate that shiat.

douchebag/hater: Cool!

The geek/nerd/scientist/technician in me would like to have seen how much each tire compressed upon
impact.

the bigger geek in you would have seen how much each tier compressed upon hitting the ramp!
