Last one was the best.

2013-03-09 03:52:18 PM
This is awesome.

2013-03-09 03:53:44 PM
I'm really surprised this wasn't a ride at Action Park.

2013-03-09 04:08:34 PM
OMG that was all kinds of awesome!

2013-03-09 04:20:24 PM
Wearing a lab coat was a nice touch.

2013-03-09 04:44:25 PM
I would like to see a Yuke tire go down that ramp.

2013-03-09 07:13:59 PM
I wonder what would happen if somebody rolled Rosie O'Donnell down that ramp

... because JAPAN.

/The last one had me laughing to tears. =D

2013-03-09 09:32:22 PM
I only watched the first couple, after that I was two tired.

2013-03-09 09:36:42 PM
OOOoooooooowa!

2013-03-09 09:36:49 PM
I agree the lab coats made it official and sciencey.
Why don't we have these kinds of shows?  Are you listening, ESPN?

2013-03-09 09:39:36 PM
Lab coat and white gloves make it official.

2013-03-09 09:45:06 PM
I want them to reinforce the ramp. I demand a recount!

2013-03-09 09:53:02 PM
That was definitely an effective use of six minutes of my time.  Giggled like a child when the last tire hit the ramp.

2013-03-09 09:57:26 PM
We needed commentary by Vic Romano and Kenny Blankenship.

2013-03-09 10:03:00 PM
Ok, Whoever thought it would be a good idea to have the two guys at the bottom trying to stop that last tire should have their head examined,

2013-03-09 10:03:46 PM
At first I was like 6:14, then I was like,  Right you are Ken

2013-03-09 10:04:20 PM
While watching that I got the strong urge to know what would happen if you put a ski jumper in a wing suit and sent them over that ramp...Would that work?

But, this is The thrill of Victory and The Agony of Defeat kind of stuff.  You know, fun!

More interesting than all soccer games, ever. Combined.

Holy crap... tires are EXPENSIVE in Japan!

You should have watched to the end...

This could be a competition.  Two man teams can push/roll to get it going.  Weight Classes.  Distance and Speed trophies.  Hell, set up some pressure plate targets at the end for big points.

Implying Mythbusters isn't all about doing a bunch of wacky stunts and calling it science

/it really is science, and I'm not trying to imply otherwise

Next week use the vehicles that go with each of the tires.

How about we put the ski jumper inside that last tire and send them over that ramp.

These guys will let the guys in lab coats hold their beers while they try it out.

Would have been better if it had been filmed in Russia. You just know that some drunkard would be inside the last tire.

Also, holy hell, tires are expensive in Japan

2013-03-10 05:45:06 AM
Wondering why they even made this... without the little window(s) in one corner showing other Japanese watching the video and reacting so the general public in Japan can figure out how to watch the show, no one over there would be able to understand how to view it!!!

/and seriously WTF were they repeatedly laughing at?!? they've never seen anything roll before?!?

2013-03-10 06:07:59 AM
I wanted them to send an inflated inner tube down the hill. That sucker woulda bounced clear out of Japan!

fark Mythbusters. They waste to much time trying to get all sciency, they would have spent 30 minutes analyzing the density of the tires, checking the tread depth, balancing them and 20 other tests. Just roll them down the ramp already.

Of course they do.  They have an hour to fill up and they used up the good myths in season one.

Just for that...

I want to do that.  Except at night, and I want to pack one of those tires with as much fireworks as it can hold and have them going off while it's in flight.

I don't know if I'd trust the results on that last one, though, considering it broke the farking ramp.

Cool!

The geek/nerd/scientist/technician in me would like to have seen how much each tire compressed upon
impact.

Aluminum wheels would have made it interesting.

It started as a nice correlation of launch speed to distance traveled, then the F1 tire screwed it up with a pathetic launch speed and a wide profile that added a ton of drag.

Then the dumptruck tire just went all Koolaid Man...
