(YouTube)   David Warner pulls double duty, Pearl sits in the theater, and little else happens in Quest of the Delta Knights from MST3K season 9. It a Renaissance Fair gone wrong, and as Mike, Servo, and Crow remind us, it's better than Quest of the Delta Burkes   (youtube.com) divider line 19

He did some work for Billy Zane.

I think this is one of my favorite episodes.

A heavy font like this needs to double-brace the H.

I almost worked on 'Quest' but at the last minute they decided to hire some guy from a local Ren Faire.

My friend Jimmy Dodson wrote and directed this film. Not his best work.

Let's not forget the pee-throwing.  Don't see David Warner doing that every day.

I absolutely LOVE this episode, and it doesn't nearly get the respect it deserves in lists of top MST3K episodes. Most top episodes are famous because of the movie itself (Manos, Mitchell, Werewolf, Santa Claus)... but when it comes to Quest of the Delta Knights, the riffing itself is just dang funny.

Is it just me or does that one guy sound just like Jon Irenicus?

He is Jon Irenicus.  He was also Captain Sawyer in the Hornblower movies, and that grail-seeking guy on Babylon 5.

What would you consider his best work, 'Deadly Rivals'?

I love MST3K.  I just introduced my GF to it.  Amazingly, she really really enjoyed it and is bugging me to pick out more episodes for us to watch later.  Needless to say I'm very pleased with this turn of events.

That's awesome. Today I introduced my kids to RiffTrax with the Hunger games ep. They are clamoring for more.

I guess I'll watch this one tonight since I have to stay up and change the clocks anyways.

Right, I knew I forgot a couple.

I envy that guy his voice.  I hope mine has that much gravitas when I'm his age (bit too late to developed the cultured accent, I think)

And Corey Burton does a really good imitation of David Warner when he voiced Shockwave in the original TransFormers series, and later in TransFormers Animated.
