Trust me, it isn't the photographer.  The dim lighting on those wretched examples of the beauty of the female genitalia is a favor to us all.  I would almost rather look at the fetus pictures to be honest.

/Pro-tip to women getting photos taken of your cootchies:  Have a little consideration and tuck in the string.

I think you're missing their point: the strings were there deliberately.  The sort of women & guys who organize these types of protest, are just as barking as the anti-abortion groups - they're just flogging a different brand of crazy.

I wonder what the Men's Right Activists (MRA - sexist pigs who believe in forced pregnancy) response to this will be. If they denounce it because it didn't give equal rights to men by showing 6 foot pics of penises then some might think them gay.

I know, they will closely examine the 10? vagina pics on this page and rank them in terms of which are most worthy for their use. We may have already heard from some MRAs in this thread.

Random question here: If these women are so proud of their vaginas and claim to draw so much personal strength from this aspect of their womanhood, then why do so many of them feel the need to shave or use Brazilian waxes? This phenomenon of a hairless vagina as a standard of beauty if both the result of peer pressure and the practices of the porno industry, and ultimately results in unhealthy body image given the fact that a woman must remove a naturally-occurring part of her body in order to seem normal. Furthermore, the absence of pubic hair as a standard of beauty seeks to diminish the idea of an adult woman as sexually liberated and independent by determining that she must appear as a prepubescent girl in order to be "sexually acceptable" for men. This social pressure has the psychological repercussion of creating a sort of "woman-child" standard of beauty, thus implicitly diminishing the perception of a woman's intellectual capabilities and has wide implications on the state of gender equality.

Why don't we get more anti-war protestors waving giant posters of gore and disfigurement then? The "real results" of war? Anti-abortion protestors who use gory images are not seeking to inform but to distort, to emotionally conflate fetal life with babyhood and childhood, to misdirect compassion from women who know their own struggle to barely-formed life that knows nothing, to make people less rational and humane, not more.

We have.   MRAs also like the idea that they can force women to have abortions (or have "equal say" in whether or not a woman has an abortion, whatever that means), or opt out of paying child support, which they like to call "Choice for Men."

Tell a couple whose latest round of IVF miscarried that they didn't lose their baby, that it was barely-formed life that knew nothing and that their grief is merely emotional conflation of fetal life with babyhood & childhood.  We draw an arbitrary line based on what is viable because we have to, but we are still terminating life and gory pictures are that reality.

Fwiw, gory pictures of anything are in excessively poor taste - it's not hard to work out what a battlefield injury looks [& smells] like; the same goes for the aftermath of medical procedures.

/I'm pro-choice but I'm also a realist; a bundle of medical waste to one person, is the loss of a child to another.

rkiller1: You can't yell "FIRE!" in a theater, neither. Reasonableness, context and intent (all subjective) are important.

Your sentences contradict each other. You most certainly can yell fire in a theater. If it's empty, if you're on stage and it's part of the scene, if there's actually a fire, or if you provide adequate warning that it is a demonstration of free speech and does not represent an actual instance of a fire. You know, the reasonableness, context, and intent matter, so don't make blanket statements about what you can or can't yell.
