I hate to see 'Stan Lee' and 'health concerns' in the same sentence but the man IS 90 years old. Whatever you think of him, the man was a major player in creating the comic book industry as we know it.

Sometime in the 90's Stan licensed his name to a company he helped create called Stan Lee Media, for the purpose of leveraging Stan's name to launch a bunch of new comics. Stripperella was one I believe. Turns out whomever was running the company was sort of crooked though, and almost immediately there was some shady stuff going on with investor money and stock, to the point where Stan disassociated himself with the company in any way. But of course they still had license to use his name in company dealings.

Fast forward to the modern day, and the company is now basically just a shell (I believe it's been bought and sold a few times as well), and some copyright trolls are using the Stan Lee name to claim that they have the rights to Spiderman, FF, etc and are suing the fark out of Disney. You know, because Stan apparently had exclusive rights to those characters he created and not Marvel (haha no), and somehow signed them all over to Stan Lee Media. Coincidentally Stan Lee Media only decided to take advantage of this after Mavel was purchased by Disney.

It's all just a ploy to try and get Disney to write a "Go Away" check.

Actually Ditko didn't get nto Objectivism until he was well into his run in Spidey. You can see the physical changes in his characters. As he becomes more involved Peter and acquaintances begin looking more like Randian supermen.

It's the actual issue. My shop had so many of them, that if we were to get one half shredded by Stan Lee, it would be worth at least 1700% more than the others. Roughly $5.
