Yeah, right? I can hardly turn on the television or radio without hearing a leftist perspective on American politics.

Dirty hands or not, he's right about those two.

But Cruz is dangerous.  He's smart and knows exactly what he's doing and which buttons he's pushing  Crazy like a fox.

It should also be noted that the media loves them some John McCain

A political battle between John McCain and Rand Paul isn't even close to a fair fight.

Gee, Senator, you say both sides are bad? Really?

Hmm. Given that, I wonder who I should vote for.

McCain, who hit the Senate floor Thursday to belittle Sen. Rand Paul's filibuster, which succeeded in getting an answer from President Obama that drones won't be used to kill Americans on U.S an administration official to re-answer a question in third grade language so Teatards could undersand it.

The comments are beautiful.  Nice to see R's eating their own with the same vitriol of blind, fact-free, ALLCAPS11! insanity that they normally reserve for the President.

Orwell warned us about these kinds of people.  good to know the open society defeats them by simply letting them all talk and ruin their own credibility.

Sybarite: Yeah, right? I can hardly turn on the television or radio without hearing a leftist perspective on American politics.

We live in a country where conservatives actually advanced the argument that owning a refrigerator means you aren't really poor. A country where you can reliably retain the support of at least 25% of the electorate for claiming that rape can't cause pregnancy. A country where millions of people honestly believe that's it's perfectly reasonable and a tenable fiscal policy to say that everyone should pay the same tax rate whether they're making $15,000 a year or $15,000,000 a year.

Sadly, when you live in a country that is as fanatically far to the right as the United States, an awful lot of crazy right-wing things suddenly become "leftist" by comparison.

Maverick, you just did an incredibly brave thing. What you should have done was land your plane! You don't own that plane, the taxpayers do! Son, your ego is writing checks your body can't cash.

I agree. It's a fantastic and appropriate directive in this case, but if I heard a band had a name like that, I would immediately find them shallow and pedantic (lois)

Has there ever been a more bloodthirsty Senator than John SIDNEY McCain III? The only time he bucks the trend with his own party (when not related to immigrants or campaign reform, both near and dear issues to his re-elections) it's to argue that we need MORE warfare and killing.  This reminds me of Kosovo all over again - the entire Republican party is calling it "world's police" and McCain is out there screaming that we need to commit ground troops.  Now you have Republicans saying that premeditated drone killings in the United States should be out of bounds - and McCain is calling them "wackos", because, of course, drone murder is just the right thing to do.  Hope you're proud of yourselves, Arizona.

I think the point is that they've gone on and on about premeditated drone killings being out of bounds when nobody has suggested that premeditated drone killings were ever in bounds. It's just grandstanding on a manufactured conspiracy.

Some of them were hoping to use Kosovo to trigger WWIII.  If you remember, General Clark ordered British pop singer James Blunt to attack Russian regular army troops with his tank during that conflict.  No, I'm not making that up.

God yes the crazy "progressives" on the left are constantly bombarding us with their ideas. Remember health care? Remember all that talk in the MSM about single payer healthcare? Remember how it was nothing but single payer this, single payer that? Remember when they kept bringing up redistricting reform and term limits for Congress? Remember that long epic battle by the far left loonies on the NDAA to make it so you couldn't technically incarcerate American citizens without due process? Remember how much time NBC and CBS and ABC and NPR devoted to that?

Yeah. Neither do I.
