The image is clearly a reflection of an indoor light BEHIND the camera as well as come imprecise color in the camera. The color is added by the windows tinting (at my house it would be tinted green).

This is really sad when a person sees a reflection in glass, watches it move as their perspective changes, and even takes pictures of it. But Russell never seemed to be the brightest crayon in the box.

Actually, according to TFA the pictures are 4 years old and taken by someone else entirely.... which begs the question, "Why was he saying he took the pictures himself and recently?"

Some weird viral publicity stunt is what I'm guessing...

Erm, while a lot of 'UFOs' are the window reflections of the room lights as you've described (a phenomenon so farking obvious it's tragic when 'experts' claim that it's not been faked and shows a genuine flying craft), the Russell Crowe thing seems to be what has been explained, albeit without a total breakdown. It's the top of a sailboat, the masty thing. seen sailing from right to left past Crowe's window. The funny effects are done by the camera set on a long exposure, which makes the lights on the mast streak and distort.

Simples.

Except not Crowe's window, since apparently the pictures in question were taken by a cinematographer named Duane Manwiller four years ago.

oh right, thanks

and BTW, 'fruit' and 'bats' are quite useful words to use in a sentence about Russell Crowe

He throws telephones when angry and hangs out with Newfies, which makes him alright in my book.
