Give me some scotch tape, some shoes I can wear on my knees, and coke bottle glasses.  I'll infiltrate, win their hearts, and then reveal myself to great sighs of exasperation.  When their eyes are widest, I'll blind them with acid!

If you don't have a plan to kill America's enemy's, then you are in the cross fire of those that do.

He's the only fat man in the country.  Everybody else is so scrawny their growth is stunted.  The NK Army even lowered its height/weight standards to levels that would be considered dwarfism in the rest of the world because of chronic malnutrition.

Makes me wonder at what point they don't see their bloated God-Emperor and see he has no clothes, or just outright want to eat him.

My God, you'll be able to take out entire bicycles for merely billions of dollars, if you can pre-arrange the bicycle's position. Your lovely Cold War propaganda poster aside, of course. Is that hand drawn? It's like a Thomas Kinkade painting, but for space kooks.

Well sure, we (The US) can defend ourselves from an attack from North Korea, the Pacific Ocean is kind of the US Navy's playground, and North Korean troops (or Navy... do they have one?) getting across to Alaska or Hawaii is highly unlikely.  South Korea on the other hand...

Davies reiterated that the U.S. will not accept North Korea as a nuclear-armed state - although after conducting three nuclear tests it is already assumed to be capable of making at least a crude atomic bomb.

Amazing powers of deduction at work there.

Well IF he can get a missle in the air my guess would be he would target alaska, hawaii, or California (for us home interests) The problem is that he would probably just do the smart thing and put a bomb in a shipping container and detonate it a harbor.

And we last I heard had THAAD 3 (Theater high altitude air defense) in Hawaii and the Aleutian Islands.

/And I know for a fact 10 years ago they were working on intercepting No dong missiles and such.

Why do you people keep saying this is a 'smart' thing. It is absolutely ludicrous to the point of pain.

Why would one need to defend against one who cannot attack? We could hand these idiots a fully functioning nuclear ICBM and they'd still find a way to f*ck it up.

Oh, I know that.  I just don't see one of their missiles getting as far as the North Koreans seem to think it will go.

Also, what tinfoil-hat maggie said.  They can't really attack the US per se, but could probably do some damage to their neighbor directly to the south.

I don't doubt something is up there, but it certainly isn't that.

http://www.popsci.com/scitech/article/2004-06/rods-god

the rods themselves, made out of tungsten, would be something like 9 tons each... 12 of them on one satellite would greatly exceed our nation's launch capability to LEO. the concept itself doesn't hold much water either, on the re-entry guidance and control side or on the lethality at impact side. the fact that your article links to an EndWar wiki certainly does not help the case that this isn't more than science fiction

The NK are a secret arm of the US government
there's something in the south china sea that is rising to destroy us all
They are the only ones who are able to protect us from this menace without raising public awareness and creating world wide panic.

Why else does all of their ordinance 'fall' into the ocean?
Did you think it was an accident?
BAH!

No, in fact the creators of South Park even made a full length motion picture based on that concept.

I always laugh at the Conservatives I know shaking in their boots about N Korea thanks to the shills at Faux News.  I mean seriously, these guys can barely even keep it together.  Their cries of, but China will murder us are ridiculous because China will really scrap a multi-billion dollar trade agreement cause of some bloated spoiled brat throwing a temper tantrum, yeah right.

Nah, it makes sense. It'd be good to have a wartime enemy that's an obvious and crazy aggressor. Plus their incompetence will make us feel doubly better when we roflstomp them. Hell, I'm morbidly curious if NK leadership has gone so batshiat crazy they actually believe they have a fighting chance.
