FullMetalPanda: From the article..This summer's town beach sticker will feature a smiling, friendly-looking shark, thanks to the unanimous approval of the town beach commission. But Kelly Clark, director of the town's recreation and beach department, worries that it gives the impression that the town isn't taking sharks seriously. When Clark expressed her opinion about the stickers at a Feb. 26 selectmen's meeting, two board members also said they were worried about the repercussions from the public of using the smiling shark, according to a live stream of the meeting. But by the end of the discussion, the board basically told Clark to lighten up.Sounds like if the shark was grumpy they'd be Ok with it.

Cold_Sassy: Wow, a town with a sense of humor (except for Kelly Clark).
Freakjob_0: You yell barracuda, everybody says, "Huh? What?" You yell shark, we've got a panic on our hands on the Fourth of July.
Starry Heavens: My inlander mind is struggling to picture a town with eleven beaches. I guess it's mostly beach? Because it's a vacation town? But aren't beaches big?
namegoeshere: Think long and thin with beaches running the length of both sides... It has a huge chunk of National Seashore which is cool because development is restricted.
namegoeshere: It's also home to the US's oldest links golf course, which is really neat to visit even if you don't golf. There's a beautiful lighthouse (You can climb up it) which was moved back from the cliff a few years ago. If you do golf, you can watch the whales while you wait for your turn.
Cold_Sassy: Wow, a town with a sense of humor (except for Kelly Clark). They win.

I'll post it for free, but I'll troll, and troll hard, for ten. But you've gotta make up your minds. If you want to be a TotalFarker, then ante up. If you want to play it cheap, be on FarkLite the whole winter. I don't want no volunteers, I don't want no mates, there's just too many trolls on this website. 1 Subscription for TotalFark by myself. For that you get the post, a pic, the whole damn thing.
jbrooks544: Starry Heavens: My inlander mind is struggling to picture a town with eleven beaches. I guess it's mostly beach? Because it's a vacation town? But aren't beaches big?The town is long and thin. Both long, thin sides are water, East is open ocean (sharky) and west is Cape Cod Bay (not so sharky). So, basically almost all the edges of the town are ALL BEACH. The definition of the word "beach" in the article, is a place where you can drive to and that has a parking lot, with public access to the water, ie. a "beach".
DjangoStonereaver: I would drive all the way from DC to Truro, just to buy one of those stickers.
