Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

Fogerty yesterday, Rick Springfield today.

That was actually pretty awesome!  And damn, Rick looks like he's barely aged since the 1980s!

that was pretty cool.  Rockers standing up a pop tune with the now mature former idol that made it a hit is a nice touch.  Next time let's see her get Van Halen to shred MMMBop, cause I'd watch that too.

I'm a rocker, dude through and through. Here's my favorite bands: AC/DC, Van Halen, not Van Hagar, Skynyrd, Def Lep....

That's why dad called you Joe Dirt.

Through a (well, maybe not *that* long chain of association,) I remembered that Bryan Adams is HUGE in Nepal.

Yes, you heard that right. He was all over Kathmandu, and gave a very anticipated concert. Billboards and posters all over.

/ there are worse things to have happen.

"That was my son, Mr. President."

Apparently Dave Grohl has bent reality to his will, and we are all living in his fantasy life.

Glad i'm not the only one who noticed that. Grohl has skills and connections and apparently can get random people to work together with just a phone call.

I read an interview with him where he describes filming the "Shake Your Blood" video, and how he realized driving home that after spending a day hanging out with Lemmy and a bunch of half naked women  he could just jerk the wheel into a tree and die happy.

WTF? I just watched 6 minutes of some farking stupid "What's in the Box" game expecting the Foo Fighters to be behind the curtain.

I was thinking that, too.  The guy hit his prime around the time I was born, and he still looks younger than me.

Rick is just as hot as he was twenty five years ago. Lawd have mercy!

This is how rockers look when they stop doing drugs for 20 years and live a reasonably healthy lifestyle. We rarely see that though.

Also sounds like his voice aged a bit.

Worked in a record store from '81-'86... got tickets/passes/etc to most gigs in town (esp when I worked in Memphis - seems like everyone wants to play there, through the crowds - at the time - were so unappreciative IMO).  I got to see Rick Springfield play during 2 different tours. Never got to meet the guy but was a closeted Rick fan. Actually, I've liked him since "Speak to the Sky" in the early days. He puts on great shows and is (from what I've garnered from co-workers) a really nice, normal guy.

All that said - yeah, I agree: it's cool to see younger groups/artists show unabashed appreciation in such ways. The FFs get even cooler - in my book....

/yeah, I know - I'm old

Check out the documentary "Sound City" and it will all come together for you.

All those musicians, the stage crew, and a TV production team and no one told him to tune his guitar?
