(Headline News TV)   A lot of towns get icicles in the winter. But only Saskatoon, Saskatchewan gets icicles that have their own Twitter accounts, and that take two days to cut down with a chainsaw   (hlntv.com) divider line 6

"Hell back in the day, we didn't have no fancy chainsaws to combat icicles or no dadburn Twitter. We had to scale them bare handed and then the hard part was dropping our pants and then managing to flip 180 degrees and grip the ice column with your sphincter muscles. The body heat from our ass cheeks would eventually melt down a spot where you could slowly sit comfortably. no as fat as Twitter and computers were concerned, hell we didn't need none of that. After the first guy mounted the frozen  stalactite, his screams could be heard for miles around and we knew it was time to band together as a community and attack the beasts when they formed. The thought of it still tightens my taint to this day but it was for the good of all.  You know as well as I that you can survive for 4 to 6 weeks without food but only about a week or so without water. How else are you going to provide drinking water in *that* kind of cold for the community? You do what you gotta do, when the going gets tough."

Badafuco: Saskatoon and Regina are my only Canadian experiences.  But it was during summer so there were no fewer icicles.
