(Washington Post)   Last month Chase Utley told Roy Halladay to "drill more batters", apparently forgetting that he occasionally qualifies as a "batter". Drillarity ensues   (washingtonpost.com) divider line 19

Watching these two teams is entertainment gold

Utley stands as close to the plate as possible and has never made even the tiniest effort to get out of the way of a pitch.  I doubt he cares too much, other than the one time they broke his hand and cost him a shot at the MVP.

FTA: Nationals starter Stephen Strasburg claimed to have hit Phillies veteran second baseman Chase Utley in the ankle by accident with a pitch during a third-inning at-bat in a 6-3 loss to Philadelphia.

Last May, Cole Hamels admitted to purposely plunking Bryce Harper, and drew a suspension from baseball and the verbal ire of General Manager Mike Rizzo.

THIS is why I watch baseball.

Phillies fans were pretending like they were the victims yesterday.  Completely forgetting that Hamels started that crap last year.

Dear Chase I feel like I can call you Chase because you and me are so alike. I'd like to meet you one day, it would be great to have a catch. I know I can't throw as fast as you but I think you'd be impressed with my speed. I love your hair, you run fast. Did you have a good relationship with your father? Me neither. These are all things we can talk about and more. I know you have no been getting my letters because I know you would write back if you did. I hope you write back this time, and we can become good friends. I am sure our relationship would be a real homerun!

There is a reason that he gets hit more than anyone (per plate appearance).  He averages ~24 HBP per full season (162 games).

Seeing something like this on the main page leaves me scared and confused. FARKING REPUBLICANS! There, now I feel better.

Is your handle a Moises Alou reference?

Also, watching the Phillies crumble will be just as enjoyable this season as last.

Always Sunny episode.

This, among many other reasons, is why baseball rules. So excited for April. Also wanna watch DOM vs. VEN tonight. Will the 'zuelans play extra hard for Hugo? I sure hope so.

Meh. In armored wankball at least you have regularly scheduled violence while playing with the balls.

He'll need to up his game a little.  His 151 career HBP is still 134 behind modern leader Craig Biggio.  He could have 20 per year until he's 40 and he'd still have to be a pinch-HBP for a couple seasons to take down the king.

That pitcher is now the Phils #5 starter.
