Noam Chimpsky: BeSerious: The Stealth Hippopotamus: I thought Carter made it federal law?!I take it back. Carter didn't do a single thing right.FTA: "It wasn't until 1978 that homebrewing became legal under federal law, after a grass-roots effort produced a bill that was signed into law by President Carter. "What exactly made it illegal under federal law back in 78? I don't think the federal government could prevent a state from allowing its citizens to brew their own. 10th Amendment and 21st, for that matter.Carter's best law was not applicable.
uatuba: It's legal as far as the Feds are concerned, but it's not federally protected. However, even if it is illegal here, it is not enforced.
