Funny, multiple songs by The Sword and GypsyHawk have already been based on Westeros.  Where's the love for metal?

Game of Thrones is too cool, not even a hipster can refute that.

Something about guilded chalices full of Robotussin and quaffing tankards of mead in someone's basement in suburban Minneapolis, then?

So, they are covering "The Rains of Castamere"?

No... "The Bear and the Maiden Fair".

Uh... maybe they thought it might be difficult for the audience to suspend disbelief enough to entertain the idea of a tavern in Westeros that is equipped with a few Marshall stacks?

Just a guess.

I'm sad to say I have yet to see an episode of "Game of Thrones".

But I love The Hold Steady. I've seen them a couple times and they always deliver. Sadly, the last time I saw them, my wife was in horrible back pain which turned out to be a ruptured disc in her back and we left the concert early.

But the point I was trying to make is that if Chewbacca does not make sense, you must acquit.

I didn't realize it was for an in series appearance.  I just thought they wrote a song using the setting as inspiration, and that has been done. My fault for not reading TFA.

The National did a version of The Rains of Castamere that played over the credits of the Blackwater episode in Season 2.  I'd link it but I'm at work.
