I got one for Christmas too.  Ended up going through two more and then buying another one when they re-released them back in 1999.

My dad was manager of Western Auto when all those toys were out. I had every single toy from that series and the Six-Million-Dollar Man.  Those were the days.

Was your Six-Million-Dollar Man the one in which you could look through the magnifying lense on the back of his head to represent his bionic left eye?

Stitch Jones: EPIC...RACK HIM

Friday, May 24, 2002.  don't ask me why i know.  just know that i know.

do you still listen to Rome?  phoenix picked up Jay Mohr but no one here has his CBS or whatever affiliate.  I stopped listening to Rome several months ago because every show was a damn Kyle Brant infomercial.  it just got lame.

The_Sponge: Moe Greene?

no, Evel was on Jim Rome a decade ago and rome asks him this question like, "Evel, when you jumped the Snake River, knowing that you had a 50/50 chance and making the jump successfully and if you didn't, you might die, can you tell us what you were thinking?  Why would you do that?"

(dramatic pause, and a note of anger in his voice)

"Do you know who the hell I am?"

The only thing that could have made that better:

If Evel had been there in person, and pulled a Jim Everett.

One-of-a-kind collection of Evel Knievel memorabilia, eh?  I could do like 20 bucks on it and not a dime more.

MaudlinMutantMollusk: This did not end well

Well, not for Evel, but for everyone watching that day, it ended spectacularly.

Not a C-section, then?

"This stuff has been scattered, tossed around the world for years,"

Much like Evel himself...

Add me too to the list of those who had the pictured toy as a kid.  Many hours spent smashing that by attempting to jump things with it.  And then later on many patches of skin from road rash & a few broken bones by my attempting to jump things on my decidedly NOT a dirt bike (the frame eventually disintegrated (in mid air) from all the bashing it took).  Ah the great memories.  I'd probably be taken away by CPS these days & my parents arrested for all the things I was allowed to try to do.
