She should have put them in the trunk so nobody could see them.

Duh.

Well she was asking for someone to get her home, see she was trying to be responsible.

..and she just could not leave them all alone at home where something might have happened to them or something....

How is she supposed to find their new daddy if she brings them in to the bar?

That's a pretty rough thirty.

At least in Wisconsin it's legal to bring your kids into the bar with you.

You can even server them as the legal guardian.  1 and 4 year old might be pushing that one a bit though...

That's pathetic.  I hope she had a good time.

Not so CSB,

My sister did something very similar to to this over the weekend, only the kids were in the bar with her (It's kind of like a more adult version of Chuck-e-Cheese).  I am very sympathetic to the plight of the mentally ill and addicted, but I am so goddammed sick of it.  And my parents who both have advanced degrees in enabling only make things worse.  I had to spend my entire Sunday basically telling them that DCFS is now on speed dial on my phone and I won't hesitate to pull the trigger.

/She's now in rehab
//Again
/// I'm sure it will stick this time...

Showbiz Pizza and Chuck-e-cheese both used to sell beer.

Hope your sister recovers.  Alcoholism is a beeotch.

I used to spend hours and hours in bars while one of my parents got shiat-hammered before driving us both home, and I turned out fine.

Well except for the whole going to meetings for the rest of my life part.

What's the problem? She had 2 designated drivers

I used to drive my drunk dad to the neighborhood bars all the time. The Ten-High, Snug Harbor, The Tic-Toc Lounge, The Mohogany Bar (The Hog). 1974 Chevy Cheyenne. 13 years old. Hammer Down.

We seem to have quite a few Donald Sullivans in here.
