Yes..."Capote The Hutt"...it's been mentioned 1000 times.  And the movie wasn't that bad.  Yes, the addition of Ahsoka and her spunky "attitude" was kind of off-putting but her character came around in the show quite well...especially these last few episodes if you keep up with the show.

And that's how the show goes - there's things that will make you go, "why are they adding this stupid thing?!"  And other things that will be awesome and fit well into the expanded universe.

Oh, they should have mentioned how the Clone Wars Anakin is 10 times better than Hayden Christensen - Anakin.

The movie wasn't great, but when you look at it as the pilot of the series, it wasn't that bad.  It had its annoying moments, but also showed a lot of promise for an ongoing series.

I'm working on catching up on the series and am currently part-way through the second season.  It does a better job giving the characters actual "character" than any of the prequel films.

Splinter in the Minds Eye.  Whiny Leah, biatchy Luke keeping his pimp hand strong by slapping the shiat out of Leah.  FML that book sucked!

You have some catching up to do then.  When you get to season 5, skip the four episode story arch that has to do with Colonel Meebur Gascon - it was like comic relief for kids before they got to serious stuff.  The last story arch of Season 5 (that just finished up unless they do 2 more episodes like other seasons) dealt primarily with Ahsoka and was quite good.  Her character has come a long way.

The worst thing in Star Wars is a quote from Obi-Wan: "These blast points... too accurate for Sand People. Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise."

Stormtroopers were terrible shots.  They couldn't hit the sky if they shot upwards!

Yeah, I have a ways to go.  Even though the first season wasn't bad, it wasn't good enough that I ever felt like marathoning it.  Season 2 is much stronger so far.

WHAR JAR JAR BINKS? WHAR?

I've come to the conclusion that Lucas had three decent movies in him and rode them until they died of exhaustion.

He's one lucky sonovbiatch and had great marketing people but creatively he's a quarter mile wide and an inch deep.

Good to see the clones with extra vowels in their names but where are the furry worms that absorb the Force?

Lucas was great at setting up the initial broad strokes of the story, as well as going all-out on developing the effects needed to get his ideas on the screen.  Unfortunately, he is horrible at writing dialogue, but by the time the Prequels came around, nobody would dare tell him to re-write anything.

Walker: WHAR JAR JAR BINKS? WHAR?

Technically, the list only covers the Expanded Universe, which is anything that wasn't in the six canon films.

That's when I stopped reading EU.
Outside of a few games, and comic books, and the clone wars cartoon- I've stayed away from EU

I tried reading some of the EU novels.  The Thrawn Trilogy was alright.  Beyond that, everything just read like bad fan-fiction.

I won't spoil it for him but the season 5 ender was awesome!

I thought those were salamanders?

90% of the expanded SW universe and 60% of the SW movie canon could be completely obliterated and nearly all fans would be perfectly happy with that.

That would explain why when I had a pet salamander and I tried to use the Jedi mind trick to make this one girl go out with me, it didn't work. That must have been the reason. Farking salamanders. Assholes.

The Rogue Squadron books are pretty good, save for the first couple.  Though the first book starts off with a training simulation straight out of the X-Wing PC game.

Zahn eventually followed up on the Thrawn Trilogy with a pair of books about the return of Thrawn.. which was a fake involving an especially crooked Grand Moff, a con artist who did a very good Thrawn impersonation, and a former Imperial Guardman with some of Thrawn's military genius.  Then some of Thrawn's people came out of the Unknown Regions to look for him.
