Twitter is just gradually signing its own death warrant. They don't seem to understand that a big part of its popularity was the API which allowed competition for clients.

Presumably this is about those paid tweets, and that people were using clients to block them.

But I just had a sandwich, and then afterwords a great BM, and the whole world needs to know about it!

My favorite thing is when people started using hashtags in facebook updates.
I started just posting hashtags as my updates at that point.  No, not #updatethis or the ilk, literally I started posting "##############################".

Someone thought my computer was broken.  Nope, only I was broken.

I know this is Fark, and its Pavlovian to instantly regurgitate that joke - but I've never seen a tweet like that personally in all the years that I've been on twitter.

Did you know that you have to make a decision to follow someone? Why would you purposely follow somebody that would share something like that?

Hashtags outside of Twitter and Instagram are nice, because it is a great way to know the person using them is an idiot.

Is it all API access or just TweetDeck?  All API and I agree, but if it's just TweetDeck I don't really care since I stopped using it in 2010 since it never worked right for me.

I didn't see any mention of the TweetDeck app for the chrome browser so either I'm still good to go or read TFA too quickly.

Would two words in regards to what tweet deck does or did be too much?

I am bummed they are shutting down this application. I used other applications but TweetDeck did what I wanted it to do and did it well. Now I am on the search for another app that can integrate my feeds.

I only hate seeing hash tags if they're "real" ones. Outside of that, they seem to serve the same purpose as the slashes we use on Fark, which I do like.  I sometimes use them in my FB updates, even thought I don't even have a Twitter account.
