MaudlinMutantMollusk: I'm beginning to get the impression that people who feel they need to carry guns all the time aren't necessarily real well balanced

They aren't, but you can't say that to their faces, or they will shoot you.

The need to carry a death dealing device around with them at all times speaks highly to the type of f'in nutbags these people (maybe YOU) are.

"Yes, I have a concealed weapons permit, and you are not taking my gun." Asked about the gun's location, Alday replied, "You're not taking my gun."

Uh huh.

Who wants to bet she's got a Gadsden flag bumper sticker on her car? Or that she listens to Glenn Beck regularly?

She probably believes she was arrested for exercising her 2nd amendment freedoms.

I'll laugh my ass off when it turns out she voted for B.O.

I will bet any amount of money she's telling anyone that will listen that Obama personally ordered this.

Crap, this is just like my mother in law.  Crazy person who will go off the handle on employees if she doesn't get her way.  Yes, she has been arrested before.  Nothing like getting woken up at midnight to help your wife bail out your mother in law......twice.

My wife doesn't speak to her anymore since the last Cracker Barrel incident.  good times.

She got away because everybody else had Nissan Leafs and Chevy Volts and she had a car.

She's incredibly stupid, so my guess is that she not only voted for B.O. she also reeks of it.

This is why everyone running around with guns. No matter how much the gun nuts pontificate about personal protection and their interpretation of the 2nd Amendment, the simple truth is that people on average are too stupid to be running around with efficient killing tools. Arm yourselves with mace and STFU.

Bigdogdaddy: Surool: So, you didn't get to buy what you wanted. You didn't get the dollar off. Now you have a criminal record and some jail time to go with it. Totally worth the $1!

At least she will no longer be allowed to use firearms (because we all know that criminals never break the gun laws) so we at least have that.

She can break the gun laws again and keep going back to jail if she gets caught. I have no problem with this.

I've known lots of batsh*t crazy women, and only one had a criminal record.

Yeah, this is pretty much the scenario I picture when some idiot starts yapping about how everybody needs to carry a gun. Nutjobs (both old and young) waving guns around every time someone pisses them off or refuses them anything.

I'm generally more scared of the abundant stupidity of the general public than the malevolence of the criminal class.

Genju: Can't you use .38 special ammo in a .357? Backwards compatibility! Until you fire it, people wouldn't know which ammo is loaded.

Yeah. I have a .357 Magnum. I have a box of .357 shells at the house, but mostly I buy .38 rounds. They're much cheaper than the .357 bullets. It's kind of neat to load three .38 rounds, followed by three .357 rounds... Bang Bang Bang BOOM!!! BOOM!!! BOOM!!!

Well yeah. The gun in all probability will correlate to an increase in their social exposure (online and otherwise) to the derp brigade. It's possible to own a gun and not become one of the tards, but people tend to be easily swayed.

Fixed.

Oh, it's even worse (for her, better for the nation), if she's convicted of a felony, which she very well may be, she can say goodbye to the gun as well.  I bet they won't plea bargain down to a misdemeanor without an agreement from her not to own guns anymore.

2013-03-04 05:31:37 PM
I have written to the Department of Agriculture and Consumer services which issues the permit asking that it be suspended pending revocation. It is obvious she is not capable of safely using a firearm.

He upcoming felony conviction will prevent her from owing any so that is a plus.

Not that he was in the wrong in this instance, just that that same excuse as cause for tasing is basically the goto "he said/she said" since they know what "she said" means nothing as a rebuttal for the ambiguous statement of "going for" or "reaching at".

This girl needs to move to Lane County Oregon - the no time county.

Burglary suspect released after 16 hours
Published: March 3, 2013 12:00AM,Midnight, March 3

Sixteen hours.

That's the length of time that Jeremiah Owens spent behind bars on Feb. 22.

Owens was booked into the Lane County Jail at 4:45 a.m. - shortly after he allegedly used stolen keys twice to enter the Eugene Textile Center off Highway 99 in west Eugene illegally and swipe more than $100 in cash from the till, police said.

Owens, a 21-year-old local transient who is on probation, was arraigned in Lane County Circuit Court at 1:30 p.m. that same day.

Prosecutors charged him with three felony counts of second-degree burglary and one count of second-degree theft in the case. They tacked on additional counts of second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief after investigators fingered him as the suspect in a break-in at Willamette High School last November, according to court records.

At 8:45 p.m., the jail's back door opened and Owens walked outside into the crisp night air. Another inmate - someone believed to pose a greater danger to the public - had been arrested, and jail officials made room for him by setting Owens free.

FTFA:As several Walmart employees watched from the store's entrance, Alday appeared outside her car "waving the gun in the holster," reported investigators. Alday then removed the weapon--a loaded Smith & Wesson .38 Special--from the holster and pointed it "at all the store employees and stated 'I have something for Y'all.'" The Walmart workers "retreated back inside the building due to being in fear for their lives."

So, we have assault with a deadly weapon....

FTFA: Alday, who fled the Walmart parking lot in a 2011 Ford Escape, was subsequentlypulled over by a sheriff's deputy who asked if there was a firearm in the SUV. "Yes, I have a concealed weapons permit, and you are not taking my gun." Asked about the gun's location, Alday replied, "You're not taking my gun."

And a case of being a terminal dumbass. I'm sure she thought Barack Obama himself sent that cop to harass poor her.

FTFA:  Alday twice refused the deputy's request to exit the auto, and was tasered when she "reached over the console for something in the passenger seat." Alday was then dragged from the car and handcuffed. The gun was found in the vehicle's center console.

She's lucky that this cop had a taser, and his only option wasn't a gunshot to her face.

Truth stings a bit, don't it?

You and your fellow gun freaks can insist that the twice-daily moron-with-a-gun story is somehow an aberration or an outlier.  Fact is, there's a mighty big segment of your gun-toting compatriots who are unstable, paranoid, prone to quick anger, drunk, and whose judgement is obviously poor.

Must suck to have to keep defending their conduct in order to make sure that you can keep YOUR little death-maker close at hand.  Cuz surely YOU aren't paranoid, unstable, prone to quick anger, drunk, ......right?

That's what you would think, but what is happening - the result of drastic budget shortfalls - is that people sentenced to serve their time in county jails are also being released early.  Burglary, B&E, and auto theft are sky-rocking because of cuts in jail bed, police, and prosecutors.  Even stupid criminals begin to understand the concept of a revolving-door.

That others frequently issue claims for which they reference absolutely no data is their failing, not mine.

It's funny. You'd think the mandatory training involved in getting a CCW permit would include things like "You don't get to brandish your gun in a threatening manner at wal-mart employees after they escort you from the store for being an asshat."

Is that one on the test?
