sasbazooka: Either I get Scroogled or Microshafted.Meh.
Desquamation: 5 Hour's agency made their ads look cheap and shiatty so everyone would talk about how cheap and shiatty they looked, in turn talking about 5 Hour Energy. It's actually not a bad idea...
The sound of one hand clapping: I'm always of 2 minds about Google's obvious data mining practices. I don't particularly like how much information they probably grab from me but it does make things so damn convenient sometimes.I actually found out a new one this week that really surprised me. I brought a new laptop and once I'd had a play around I decided it was time to start moving my bookmarked sites across from my old machine to the new one. So I went on Chrome, logged into google and then just before I could power up my old machine I noticed that all the bookmarks had already appeared. I had no idea that Google did that and it's kinda creepy but also useful.
jonny_q: Firefox has the same feature. Nifty thing about Firefox is that there are ways, with some know-how, to set up your own sync server without going through Mozilla's servers at all.
seanpg71: I have a hotmail account and clicked the button to sign up for bing rewards whenever that first happened because why not. I never actually accrued any points because I didn't search with bing and didn't stay logged in.I recently got a Lumia 920 though, and that does stay logged in and does use bing. It would appear that I now have the equivalent of like $4 should I feel the need to trade in for an amazon gift card. So that's cool I guess. At least they're reimbursing me for all the information they're collecting about my porn searching habits.

HeartBurnKid: Because if there's one company I trust with my privacy, it's Microsoft.
