This guy's in a world of shiat.  This could be an epic downfall.

And, just as I expected, he's a Democrat. I'm cool with the fallout he'll catch for acting in such a fashion.

But, will Fox News run a story about a Republican senator doing such actions? Or, if they do, they'll misidentify the senator first as a Democrat?

2013-03-04 12:29:44 PM
It's only news to fox when it is a democrat.

is this story from Athens, circa 600 BC?

Is he an actual Democrat or a Fox Democrat?

Senator Mitch "Cash on the Night Stand, and No Kissing" McConnell approves.

From the article:

the biggest political donor to his re-election, the same eye doctor whose private jet Menendez used for two personal trips to the Dominican Republic

And why exactly is this white male Republican senator taking private trips to the Dominican Republic? Something tells me it wasn't for a wholesome family vacation.

"Could have"

I seem to recall an odd orange imp handing out checks on the floor of the goddamned congress as a reward for a vote.

Man, the GOP noise machine really has a boner for this Menendez guy.  Who did he piss off exactly?

I don't think I heard a thing about this on Fox

Speaking as an uninformed idiot, I have heard quite a bit about Menendez lately. Maybe we will increase our popularity with those that do not always adhere to a strict party line, if we purge our ranks of crooks and cheats. In fact, do so with great pomp and circumstance to assure voters that we will not tolerate dishonesty regardless if it comes from our own ranks. Would do a great deal towards credibility and winning hearts and minds. If voting citizens felt that your political brand NEVER tolerated special interest shenanigans, it would also make it more likely you could replace the offender with a member of your own party. I'm torn, would natural gas vehicles mean more fiery crashes as well as less greenhouse gasses? Because I do enjoy fire.

And while I'm at it... WTF is any Democrat doing supporting fossil fuels (of any kind) in this day and age? Unless there's some major benefit to NJ over other states, this seems a bit off-message. NJ Farkers help me out here?

So, are they finally admitting that the underage hooker story was a load of bunk?

I hope this donor guy continues to be investigated over the alleged Medicare fraud thing, but Fox news expressed no such outrage when the Koch brothers and ALEC donated to the campaigns of Republicans in exchange for pushing anti-union legislation through. They can take their faux outrage and stick it where the sun don't shine.

Seems like commonsense to me. I don't know enough about the particulars of the accusations against him to defend or get indignant at him, nor am I inclined to do so (I may be left-leaning, but I'm not registered to any political party). If the charges are true and proven, then he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. No reason for me to go any further than that, at the moment, really.

'Course, what are the actual chances a Senator is going to "have the book thrown at him"? The cynic in me says, not very likely.

What, are you one of those weirdoes who thinks hiring out prostitutes and then having the madam killed before she can name any more names is wrong or something?! Whatever, puritan...

There's that... Now, if he were some peon who stole a TV from Best Buy, he'd be looking at multiple years in prison.

There are others, but that's the largest. NJ is big on oil refining.

Really?
You missed ALL the threads where we talking about how the FBI is investigating this guy for allegations that he visited child prostitutes in the DR?
It's not like there was just one thread. The politics tab was hot and heavy with them for what felt like at least a week.

For the record, the DR is a nice place to go on a wholesome family vacation, and he had something or another he claimed he was doing there.
But all anyone remembers is that some dude in the DR said he heard Menendez was banging underage hookers.

If it's true (Fox News, after all) he should be put in prison for the rest of his life, and not the white collar kind.
But... laws are for us, not them.

As in, "You will all be" but abbreviated in the usual way, using an apostrophe. See also: "I'll be."
