Free Radical: Is the college bankrupt?

No, but the students are in a world of shiat.

Did the college lay off hundreds of people?

Actually, yes.

Did the college outsource a large number of jobs?

Hell, they teach outsourcing.

Aside from that...the word 'adjunct' in TFA. You do comprehend that it's the college letting their 1%er higher-ups out of the day-to-day work of actually teaching, because their intellects are far too refined for such drudgery, which is to be handled by underpaid grunts and TA's fresh off the plane from Whereverstan, don't you?

No, it's equally abusive to the people who pay the bills and make the company/organization run.  No different.  And it really pisses everyone off.

I'm supposed to get upset about those numbers, subby? John Thain spent more than that DECORATING ONE OFFICE. He killed his last company and his new one now pays him $6,000,000 a year.

/You must be trolling.

More like they can not connect with the students, and do not understand when the student has problems with the material. But the university wants the money that the professor draws in from reasearch grants and fundraising.

Seriously to many university professors in the world know absolutly nothing about teaching. and are just there to do research. Universities are just reasearch institutes posing as education centers for more money/cheap labour. If they cared about the education they would hire professors with education credentials.

My alma mater has either lost my phone number or given up on ever getting a dime from me. The administration's solution to every problem was to raise tuition and fees. Never did I see a cut to non-essential services. I would love the job of cutting college budgets. It would be one of the easiest jobs ever.

Man, headline was probably the most pathetic attempt at trolling I've seen in recent memory.  Got greened, too.  I wonder if that was the mods' Participation Award or something.

I want to punch that headline in the dick.

This is what pisses people off about Fark, Drew. It doesn't generate a good buzz or a controversy that translates into ad dollars. It just insults your users. Tell your people to knock it off with greening the troll headlines. Unless they're hilarious. Which almost none are.

Stop making Fark cry, subby.  You big meany.

This post doesn't seemed overwhelmed with angry people decrying corrupt academia. 14 posts is not the revolution you are looking for....

NYU gave Lewis $1.2 million to buy a house, then forgave the loan.
