This.

However, as an afterthought, this is invention is actually needed, because cops are currently not dangerous enough with guns and tasers alone!

It's remarkable the things one can accomplish when unemployed and living in your parent's basement.

Give it to the guy from yesterday with the ninja knife for chasing off would be thieves from his convenience store. Can you imagine how freaky that thing would be to see?

Not to throw cold water on the idea but here is one way to defend against it.

I like how the tazer is "built into the bottom", but really it is held there with tape.

I'm no engineer, but I know an unsafe thing when I see it.

Yeah, that was my though, too.  I'd think twice about robbing some guy with a weapon like this.

On second thought, I'd just shoot him and take the sword, too.

Not to mention practice in the garage around gas fumes... dad will be so pissed...

The first time that thing shorts through the handle he's probably going to lose an appendage...

If the taser part becomes effective, it's because you're failing at sword fighting, so why not just get a ready made stun baton?

2013-03-04 04:56:31 PM
Feh, I was expecting someone trying (or actually doing) to block a taser with a sword. This is just a glorified cattle prod.

My very reaction. "It's two... two... TWO ineffective weapons in one!" Better off with a stun stick. That way, you won't look like a douche when, on your first swing, you actually hit something, the blades torsion, and you earn a new nickname with which your future cellmates will tormet you, there, "Lefty."

I'm guessing no one here has ever played an RPG.

Or had one of these.

all you haterz are missing the point.  hes created an invincible superweapon that, even in the hands of a novice, is capable of defeating an army of highly trained armed and armoured ninja soldiers and/or undead.

as long as they attack one at a time. and the wielder is given ample time in between attacks to recharge.  and the weapon stays in one piece. cause one engineering flaw is the use of electrical tape for structural purposes.

but other than that, its awesome, dare i say epically so.

Well if we are going to give up handguns then we need a replacement. Swords could be that replacement. They aren't military-style or black. They aren't high capacity nor do they have barrel shrouds. So the fear-factor should be pretty low.

Acid dripping or poisin dripping swords could be a liability concern as well as flaming swords. Lightning just makes more sense. Hell stun guns are safe enough to use on old people. So I say bring on the swords of lightning.

Just buy yourself a shotgun and two shells.

Buy a shotgun, pop both caps from the balcony.

Joe Biden says to buy a shotgun.

You know you want one.

A double barreled shotgun...

Well, if he had a 3d printer and finished with that, people would be freaking out and calling for bans on lightning swords.

Isn't "shocking" both a prefix and suffix in D&D? Shocking Short Sword of Shocking?

/or is it "of Shocking Burst?"
//No... no it doesn't cause an explosion

Why all the hate???
He didn't boast that he'd take anyone down with the thing...
He didn't make any comments about people regretting messing with him because of it...
He just doodled around and made a fairly cool little toy.
A dangerous toy, but a toy nonetheless.
What's wrong with that?
Jealous you didn't think of it first?
Leave the poor guy alone.

You would be surprised how segmented Fark can be sometimes. Just depends on the subject of the thread.

Many are trying to ban guns. What are we going to use if we wish to defend ourselves against guns?

The nanny statists are a step ahead of you. Some places already have bans on tazers and stun guns like this.
I'm thinking Air guns and flechette rounds most likely the next big thing. They can make god awful wounds, but they skirt most gun laws.
After we've exhausted all the modern options, it getsmedieval again.

/I'm wagering on push knives, those were always fun.
/Altho they are already banned in some places, face stabbing and all that...
