I don't care for politics on my sports programming but Olbermann/Patrick were freaking great together on Sportscenter.

I just watched ken Burns' addendum to Baseball over the weekend, and the presence o Olberman totally ruined it. He's beringing a lot of baggage back with him.

What little credibility Olbermann had, he got at ESPN. Guess he finally woke up.  He's still a dickhead.

Um, he knows quite a bit about the sport, and serves as a fine authority of the game. Who, exactly, has the baggage again?

Olbermann is a douche. ESPN is bad enough with Stephen A and Meril Hoge.

2013-03-04 09:15:04 AM
ESPN is an open sewer anyway, so I'm going with Rodman.

2013-03-04 09:23:20 AM
If Olbermann could go a whole segment discussing sports without making a political metaphor, he could have a real career.

2013-03-04 09:26:19 AM
If you're scoring at home, or even if you're alone, this is a good thing.

/You know how old Keith Olbermann is? He's 206

The ESPN book was kinda boring until it gets to the part where they hired KO and everyone talks about what a dick he is

Is there anybody in the book that isn't a dick? Especially in regards to the suits and higher-ups. I can understand why Dan Rydell and Casey McCall  Keith and Dan fought with them on so many occasions. And, I would give anything to watch somebody, anybody, kick the living shiat out of Chris Berman.

I think Olbermann can discuss sports without blaming something on the Bush administration.  He may be a left wing hack, but the man knows his baseball.

Eh, the Olbermann-Patrick duo was magic back then.  Hard to capture lightning in a bottle again.  Keep the past in the past and let us have our memories of how outstanding they were.

Olbermann: Such a huge wackjob that even liberals can't stand him.

Maybe ESPN will put him back in his place?

This; too bad that Keith's a little too full of himself.  Then again ESPN must've fired him when they realized he was a microcosm of themselves.

WhoopAssWayne: Olbermann is a douche. ESPN is bad enough with Stephen A and Meril Hoge.

And Bayless. And cowherd.

You misspelled Skip Bayless.

Solution:

Forget about Olbermann, and hire Dan LeBatard's dad as an ESPN anchor instead.

/Si, si!
//I'm very intrigued!

When Cowherd is the most listenable of those four, your network has a BIG problem.

I'll take Keith Olbermann if he replaced Chris Berman.

They're both full of themselves, but at least Olbermann doesn't do forced nicknames and sound effects.

Most listenable thing about Cowherd is "Two for the road," because then you know that SVP & Russillo, the last decent ESPN radio show is coming on soon.

The best think about Olbermann on ESPN was the spot they made for Sports Center after he left.

/put the biscuit in the basket

Put him on a segment with Van Pelt.  That's an apocalypse of suck.

2013-03-04 02:20:04 PM
ESPN has been posting so much left wing crazy in it's headlines lately, that they might as well have KO back working for them.

takes quick look at ESPN

NRA to sponsor Texas Sprint Cup race in April

I'd watch it if they forced him to cover a lot of crashcar... er, ah, NASCAR .

And KO was a fine MLB broadcaster when he was at Fox.

He knows the game well. Better than most.

I actually like Cowherd the best. I know he is a blowhard for the Yankees, Knicks, Cowboys, Lakers and anything Miami. He is just trying to capture as much of an audience as possible

Call me crazy, but just because a guy's a jackass I'm not gonna listen to him. I don't mind opinions that differ from mine, but I'm not wasting my time listening to a dick.
