I just watched The Mist again for the first time in years last night. I knew it was a Darabont movie but I didn't know Andrea, Dale, and Carol were all in it. I was only half-way paying attention and kept forgetting which apocalyptic universe I was watching.

Darabont really tends to reuse actors quite a bit.

I love The Mist, but only watch the b&w version any more. It adds to the atmosphere of the film immensely.

I'm curious to see what they end up doing with Tyrese, so long as it isn't killing him and replacing him with another African-American male lead.

Hopefully he realizes how bad the Governor is soon and rejoins Rick's group.

Tyreese's companions are as good as dead, though.

As far as Tyrese knows, Rick is just some crazy lunatic in the prison. His only interactions with Rick were limited to the whole ghost Lori thing. The Governor is going off of a deep end of his own, of sorts. I know there is a lot of hate for Andrea, but why not Michonne? She dug deep enough to know the army guys were murdered -- she could have told Andrea what to look for when she returns to Woodbury. Then again, this is the same lady who had no farking problem with the zombie aquariums. It's going to take some dialogue between Andrea and Tyrese to change the status quo IMHO.

I don't get the "WE HATE THEM!" reaction, though. Yeah, they got kicked out by the crazy guy, but... their reaction seemed slightly disproportionate to what happened.  Especially since it seemed more like Tyreese's group could have gone and hung out in the prison and talked to the main group again later, when Rich wasn't quite so... crazy.

Yeah, but when he told them to leave he was waving a gun around. So out into the wilderness they went. Andrea and Milton almost got killed and Tyrese saved them.

I would argue Merle and Daryl would have the best odds in the wilderness and even they couldn't hang so it's still pretty rough out there. Exile is like a death sentence...

RockofAges: majestic: I really want to see Andrea completely naked.

Fine, but then she dies. Most annoying character in the show after Lori. Her "bad decision" count is so high that it's unreal. It's hard to imagine a character who makes consistently poorer decisions -- but I'm intrigued to hear arguments for other characters!

I wonder if the show is keeping her in position so that she'll be the one to finally kill the Governor when the shiat hits the fan. Something similar to the comic outcome, but with her instead of the other character doing it.

Otherwise, I can't see how the group would take her back.

Maybe black people saw loved ones shambling towards them making horrible noises and said "Oh, hell no!", then took off, and the white people were all like "Ted? Is that you Ted? What's wrong? You know, I was watching Dr. Oz the other day and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!"

Your comment was part of the conversation I was having with my lesbian sister in law about the Walking Dead.
She had me rolling. But we did both agree that Andrea and Michonne were a little oddly bitter towards one another.

If someone kicked me out of a cozy and safe campsite into a world overrun with the walking dead I might be pissed too. They had hope that they found safety and allies and then ghost Lori ruined everything!

Yeah, but two of Tyrese's group were all ready to kill the kids and old man and take over the Prison. In fact, it was white guys who wanted to do this, IIRC. Tyrese talked them down, but they were clearly all ready to be immoral sons-of-biatches... So why is it such a surprise that they let their being kicked out piss them off even more?

Tyrese is the one I don't get. He was pretty rational. I can't imagine his spider-sense isn't tingling when he talks to The Gov.

But my theory is since black people eat tasty fried food and bbq all the time that the zombies naturally went for all the diabetic and high cholesterol people first because they were tastier.

Getting thrown out of a safe place would be essentially a death sentence. Or at least close enough to be considered completely inhuman in this world. That group was tough and knew how to survive but sending them out was wrong and they know it. Now that they have found a safe, well armed place of really good, organized people they are going to do whatever they need to to fit in. And if killing the people that tried to kill you is a start that's just the way it goes.

Actually, I picture it more like this...

Somewhere up north, where it's too cold for the dead to walk:

"So them white folks down south, they be walking up to them and sayin' 'Jimbob? You okay? You don't look so good!' when they  know them crackers be dead for at least five minutes! They got blood n'shiat drippin' down they face, and they eyes all white an' shiat, and these stupid cracker mufuggas be all huggin' em an' shiat like it's some kinda miracle!  Man, when my moms went down, I was upset an' all, but when she stood back up I was like 'Unh-uh. No fuggin way, biatch. I'm out of this muhfugga.' and I hauled ass for Canada. Ain't no way I'm hangin' around when folks be dyin' and gettin' back up an' shiat!"

/No offense intended by use of Black American English.
//Dramatic effect.

I see Tyreese having second thoughts about helping the Governor attack the prison at which point the Governor goes well, all Governor on him.  Probably holding his wife hostage or something to get his assistance in the attack.  At that point, Tyreese helps Rick and Company.
