Rickj: I thought NBC was grooming Chelsea Handler to take over Tonight Show?  They've had her on as a guest so many times I thought they were going to make her the next Joan Rivers.

At least Joan Rivers was funny.

TheJoe03: Say what you will about Fallon, but the fact the he got the legendary Roots crew to be his band is amazing and makes the show worth watching.

So, what you're saying is that NBC should just cut Fallon out entirely and turn his slot into a 1 hour The Roots music variety show.

I can get behind that.

Then by all means, examine my head. He's got actual style.

Is Fallon still playing stupid games with the audience?  If I wanted to watch a game show, I'd DVR a 'good' one like Price is Right or Jeopardy.

All of these late night talk shows suck ass compared to Graham Norton. And he's only on once a week.

Mentat: If only NBC had nurtured someone to take over the Tonight Show who attracted a younger demographic...

NBC wants The Tonight Show to attract the older demographic and Late Night to attract the younger viewers.

Don't know that NBC will keep them on The Tonight Show as they might scare Grandma and Grandpa.  Also depends on if Fallon stays in New York or moves out to L.A. Moving to L.A. changes more than just the timeslot.

NBC has the wrong Jimmy for the 11:35 time slot

Well thank god for improvements! Jay Leno and his "Comedy for Conformists" has been stinking up that time slot with weapons grade anti-funny for years.

Hey, dumb ass!  Fallon has style!  Tons of style!  It's quite impressive, in fact, how he has made sucking as bad as he does so fashionable!!1!!

/f*cking hate Jimmy Fallon
//wish he'd Fallon a pile of sharp rocks from a great height
///but am truly a big fan of cameroncrazy1984

Ferguson is not the funniest man on late night, but his running self referential "You see what I did there" is far funnier than Fallon laughing at his joke before delivering the punchline.

// Colbert is #1, Stewart and Conan tied for #2, then Kimmel, then Ferguson

Can we have just have Bonnie Hammer take over all of NBC and crash that ship into the ground and allow Netflix to salvage the good pieces?

ZeroCorpse: Jimmy Fallon is one of the least funny people in the universe. Anyone who would watch The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is one sick puppy.

I quite like Jimmy Fallon.  Sure he'll get beaten like a government mule at 11:35, but he's great on Late Night.

/and if anybody says Craig Ferguson is the funniest man is late night needs their head examined
//the crazed Scotsman bit only works for fifteen minutes
///the skleton announcer doesn't work at all
