whidbey: Honestly, what is it going to take to force socially conservative law enforcement that people want to smoke marijuana?

For whatever damn reason we please?

Huh?

They know you want to. They just don't care.

StoPPeRmobile: gibbon1: Lucky LaRue: Marijuana is a gateway drug, and should be controlled as such.  If the government has to "pile on" the charges, then it is for the best if it saves innocent kids from being tempted into a world of ruin.

If you mean save children by pinning a felony rap on them so they can't get a job or financial aid for college. Which why back in 78 California made getting caught with Reefer a citation.  And why California wipes your record when you turn 18.

It's illegal for a reason.

Lol, wanna share that reason with those of us in Colorado?

foo monkey: There's a LOT of posters in this thread who didn't read the article. The dude had 28 plants growing in his house. 28 plants. He's not an innocent guy with a Bob Marley poster. He is growing and distributing on a huge level

Really? 28 plants is *huge* now? I've got friends who could probably call that a 90 day supply for personal consumption.

Farking Lurker: OK enough from the pottheads here.

Come on copsuckers PLEASE justify this shiat to me we need your side of the story.

Unfortunately, the other side of the story is all bullchit, lies and a support structure for fleecing the citizens.
The only danger associated with marijuana is the danger politicians and law enforcement asshats have created.

/for your own good, naturally

And are you too stupid to understand that reason?
Maybe just not educated on the real and actual facts about a plant used by humanity since history has been recorded?

But, Nnooo, a prohibitionist and a newspaper mogul rewrite history and fools just fall into place for the PROFIT.

part of the problem: ".....Bob Marley, a marijuana user."
Well, not any more.
I almost never leave the house without an engraved picture of a pot farmer. Called himself George Washington. Guess I should watch my back around these cops.

He was a huge moonshiner as well.

Go ahead, distill 1 oz of whiskey, I dare you.
This is why we can't have nice things.

Ima4nic8or: Calling Bob Marley posters drug paraphenalia seems pretty reasonable to me.  I cant say I ever knew anyone who liked Bob Marley, other than pot heads. And this case certainly supports that idea.  They were after all growing large amounts of that crap.  If classifying Bob Marley posters at drug paraphenalia will get them more time then I am all for it.  The last thing we need is more druggies selling their poison in our neighborhoods.

Holy shiat. My 10 year old daughter is a pothead???

She loves Bob Marley. The Police were her gateway drug I guess.

/not a pothead

Police also discovered several pairs of "teashades" or sunglasses, used by such notorious marihuana addicts as John Lennon.

I find it so amusing that the stupid fail to recognize the derp they fall for.
And then they repeat it as if it were a fact.

Fact: marijuana has no lethal or toxic dose in humans.
Therefore, it is not a poison.
Fact: Alcohol, on the other hand, is a perfect poison of the highest quality.

With luck, the sycophants will live long enough to see the lies put to rest, revealing the falsehood they enjoy.
Not that they will learn anything.

Because lying to the children is so nice and respectible and well, GOP and DFL endorsed.

If the people are told the same lies over and over again, they'll come to accept it as the truth. Yes, people are stupid.

I wouldn't call alcohol the perfect poison, but it's up there with the best of them.

I'm 59 (or will be soon) and I don't expect to see cannabis legalized in my lifetime. As I said before, humans are stupid and uncomprehending animals, afraid of change and unwilling to challenge authority. Until that changes, we'll be living in a Dark Ages for quite some time.

All I'm asking is to force drug cops to go find productive work. Hopefully on someone else's dime.  We're paying men to catch and put able bodied men in jail, and then paying other able bodied men to guard them. I'm more of a tax and spend Liberal than a froth at the mouth conservative, but this is just dumb.  The cops and hippies need to get some other job.

Even if legalized, it will be regulated, so they may still have a rather similar job to make sure that supplies are coming from legal sources.

StoPPeRmobile: Actually, those that are afraid because of posters should stay, way the fark away, from it.

We also live in a town with a lot of opioid junkies. My point is that she's very afraid of becoming addicted. She wouldn't. The minute she felt like she "needed" opioids she'd scare herself straight.
