antidisestablishmentarianism: doyner: Having lived in Japan I can say that anything that covers most girls' teeth is definitely a step in the right direction.Yep. You can tell how wealthy a family is by the quality of their teeth.
Yuri Futanari: Bslim: WHAR PICS OF CUTE JAPANESE GIRLS WITH MASKS, WHAR?![i.imgur.com image 850x637]

Eddie Ate Dynamite: You know, sometimes I think disembarking from a plane in Japan just as the LSD is kicking in would be the craziest most awesomest trip you could ever take. With a proper guide to keep you out of too much trouble, of course. And the real shiat, not that strychnine crap that makes all your bones sore and your joints pop.
mark12A: Heh. I wear a surgical mask when bike commuting thru Philly to cut down on the air pollution I ingest during the commute. It makes a big difference. But Oh the abuse I get. The kids in Port Richmond call me Toxic ("Hey Toxic! How's it going?") and the tailgaters in the sports complex shout at me (Dude! Ya got SARS??")/It's hard being a Star Bellied Sninch....
Richard C Stanford: Yuri Futanari: Bslim: WHAR PICS OF CUTE JAPANESE GIRLS WITH MASKS, WHAR?!YYYYAAAAHHHHGGGG!!!!Holy crap that's some freaky ass sheiat!!!! It's like something out of a horror movie. You step onto a bus and... Bam! They all turn simultaneously towards you and stare at you with their eyes.Their soulless plastic eyes! I...I think I'm going to go cry in a corner now.

Likwit: We need to stop perpetuating this myth that the Japanese put the group before the individual. They are some of the rudest most selfish people I've ever met. They simply think that by not being loud or standing out that they're not bothering anybody. Any one who has ever had the misfortune of riding on a plane with a Japanese person knows this.

Kurohone: As opposed to wearing them as a totally ineffectual token display of workplace loyalty?...

IronJelly: I don't know. the last time i flew, there was a woman wearing a surgical mask, and I requested to sit as far away from her as possible.fark it, it's not fashionable, it means one of three things:1) You have a terrifying disease and people should be scared of being near you.2) You think others near you have a terrifying disease and you're scared of being near them.3) You are a terrorist or mad scientist, and planning to release some sort of virus or poison soon.In all three of those equally likely scenarios, I don't want to be near you, and I think you should not be allowed to fly, nor even be in public places. Had I been running security at the airport, either her mask would have been trash, or she would have been extensively and deeply searched by the kinkiest TSA person i had on staff.
Medic Zero: And it's attitudes like yours that will keep our society from ever having widespread adoption of mask usage. Personally, I wish we were more like Hong Kong and it was totally normal and acceptable for many people to wear masks much of the time.

Personally, I wish we were more like Hong Kong and it was totally normal and acceptable for many people to wear masks much of the time. You say that like its a bad thing. When the world needs to walk around wearing masks we have lost our way, big time.
Medic Zero: Haven't taken a look around lately?
