Duff is far from a lesser member of gnr. This combination makes sense. He's from Seattle and played multiple instruments in a ton of punk/post punk/rock bands before and after gnr. Duff's a bright guy. He sobered up and went to college. Duff should serve as an inspiration to anyone who has/had d/a issues.

If Mike McCready is a lesser member of Pearl Jam then Pete Townsend should enter a high school battle of the bands so he has a chance of being called good.
