Screw wraps. I hate 'em. They're just burritos in denial of their glorious Latino cultural heritage...All full of cracker ingredients like white meat and ranch dressing.

Our country is almost 17 Trillion in debt, 12.5 Million Americans are unemployed not counting the under employed and those who have just given up looking. Our Imperial president is spending like there's no tomorrow while at the same time dividing the country like no president has ever done with his lies, deception and scare tactics. He's now allowed thousands of illegal emigrant criminals to walk out of prison and is more worried about gay marriage than America's survival. Now he's got this idiot Kerry flying all over the world partying and giving Millions of tax payer dollars to whoever wants it. It's time for the American people to stop this madness and demand that Obama be Impeach!! God bless America, NO God save America! Say NO to Tyranny,

Israel executes unarmed Turkish american peace activist on aid flotilla...Crickets. The lunacy of a country based on keeping za purity of za race taking offense at having it called out is more  cognitive dissonance than my tiny goy brain can handle. Maybe if I did not have an animal soul it would not confuse me.

They weren't executed, they weren't unarmed and they weren't "peace activists".

You mean the country with 20% of its citizens muslim arabs with arabic being an official language ? hmm.

farking goddamn turkey wraps. Consumerist-like typing detected ahead - my recent letter of complaint to a local grocery store over their turkey wraps:

Take pride, Harris Teeter. You are the first institution that has offended my culinary senses enough to warrant me actually making a complaint. I have literally never done this before. I'm just not the kind of guy to make a fuss out loud.

I go to your store on a regular basis because I work at McHenry Row and I can not afford the time it takes to go other places when I really feel that I need to eat lunch, a meal I often skip. Tired of the default chicken tenders and mac and cheese, both of which I happen to like but seriously, can't have them every time I ever need to eat lunch, I decided to pick up a wrap at your counter.

It was labeled Pastrami Turkey Reuben Wrap. It cost $5.65. The contents of this wrap were: A white wrap. Sliced turkey breast. Swiss cheese. Shredded lettuce.

Out of these 4 ingredients - there were no others - I would like you to explain to me exactly which of them constitutes a) Pastrami b) Reuben c) $5.65.

I can appreciate that Boar's Head does, in fact, make a product called Turkey Pastrami, something that would NEVER have occurred to me until after researching it specifically to make this complaint. If it was named Turkey Pastrami & Swiss Wrap, I would have walked away, and never have known the sheer awful of this product. But you lead with Pastrami, and you ended with Reuben. The expectation of corned beef to make an appearance is not unreasonable. It's just not!

Let's skip the pastrami. I'll give you that, okay? I'll give you that there's a thing called Turkey Pastrami (not Pastrami Turkey tho because seriously, pastrami is the noun involved, turkey is the adjective. Turkey will always come from a turkey. Pastrami is now apparently from whatever you feel like marinating, smoking, and slicing. It requires an adjective if that whatever isn't beef.)

Let's take the Reuben. Here's what constitutes a Reuben: smoked meat (typically corned beef), rye bread, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing, and Swiss cheese. Like, that's our minimum barrier to entry, I like a little coarse mustard as well, I don't think I'd get in a fistfight over substituting provolone for the Swiss, right?

Apparently, in the south, it is permissible to substitute coleslaw for sauerkraut. I find that this is suboptimal for corned beef, but actually quite nice for turkey, and stays a bit better cold. It's not a Reuben anymore, but it's a nice sandwich and I'm okay with them calling it the wrong thing. If this is what you'd given me, a turkey and coleslaw and Swiss wrap, we wouldn't be having this undoubtedly one-sided conversation. I would have just been disappointed, instead of so soul-crushingly baffled that I felt compelled to write all this.

Note that on this list of what constitutes a Reuben (and unlike your turkey pastrami, this isn't open to debate, it is a type of sandwich defined specifically by having these ingredients), you have neglected most of them. Rye bread. I can tell the wrap isn't rye, okay? Not sure if you can make a rye wrap. But we're an ingredient short of a Reuben, aren't we? Like, you need to put in extra effort to make up for that.

Next ingredient: sauerkraut or coleslaw. Neither option present. I know that, like, sometimes people are born without legs and go on to have a filling a productive life? Prosthetic limbs can even let you do track and field! It's amazing. This pile of ingredients, this slice of turkey with Swiss cheese and shredded lettuce, no amount of self-belief and community support is going to turn this thing into a Reuben at this point.

But the real killer here, I mean the real kick to the nuts, is that you didn't even see fit to put on some mayo, let alone thousand island. Not only that, but when I went to the bucket of condiments in the eating area in a final act of desperation to make this dry, limp, lackluster pile of food enjoyable, no mayo was there either. I was willing to mix ketchup and mayo together in a crude Russian dressing to try to bring this thing even close to a damn Reuben, and no. No, I was left with the most pathetic Turkey and Swiss wrap possible, drier than a dehumidifier in the Sahara Desert, and nothing but a seething hate for your marketing department as seasoning.

Now, here's where we get down to brass tacks. If you had given me this, charged me tree-fitty, and sent me on my way, I could have lived with it. I would've chalked it up to grocery store food, sucked it up, and went on my way. But no. You priced this so high, and named it so specifically, that I assumed it must just be very cleverly disguising the other ingredients that are physically required to call it a Reuben and charge me $5.65 for it.

And I was wrong. Terribly, terribly wrong. And the ultimate point of this letter is that, frankly, you should be ashamed of this product. You market yourself as a fairly well-established grocer, sort of parallel to Wegman's, and you ruined a Reuben so friggin' badly that it resulted in a thousand word essay from someone who has never complained to a company before, about anything, ever.

I'm not asking for restitution, or a change, or anything. I'll continue to occasionally shop at your store and pick up some hot bar or crackers or something. All I'm asking is that you feel bad about what you have done, and to please make sure, if you can, that the person directly responsible for this asinine decision in labeling and pricing is made to feel as bad as is reasonably possible for what is, ultimately, a depressingly trivial offense. Just, make them stand in the corner or something, and reflect upon the error of their ways.

As close as Turkey may eventually become to join the "West", they just can't seem to get over this crap.
