1. Have middleman (or middlewoman, in this case) post nasty racially biased comment.
2. Have party chair rebuke middleman (or middlewoman) and claim that you're still "the party of Lincoln."
3. Try to reel in votes from fencesitters by demonstrating your alleged lack of racial bias.

It's a lovely campaign strategy. Republicans, using Republicans claiming the low road, to claim the high road. At the end of the day, though, the alleged "party of Lincoln" is still dead-set against helping anyone other than rich, white, heterosexual men - actions speak louder than words, so it goes, and so you can clutch your pearls all you like against the utterances of the folks in your own party, but until you change your policies, no one's going to take your pearl-clutching seriously.

Honestly, when you actively recruit all of the crazies, bigots, and assholes for their votes, you then don't get to distance yourself from their behavior. They're your tafurs, O conservative Crusader, so either expel them or embrace them.

While the GOP has certainly had more Indian-Americans in prominent positions in recent years, the community as a whole has actually been the most reliably Democratic of any Asian-American subgroup; going for Obama somewhere above 65% last year.

A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the
scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back. The
frog asks, "How do I know you won't sting me?" The scorpion
says, "Because if I do, I will die too."

The frog is satisfied, and they set out, but in midstream,
the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of
paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown,
but has just enough time to gasp "Why?"

Replies the scorpion: "Its my nature..."

Sikhs are not pacifists. In fact Sikh males are required to wear a dagger or sword at all times. It's a ceremonial thing now, but it is a symbol of their commitment to fight against oppression.

Sikhs have a religious obligation to be armed at all times, so they can thwart would-be evildoers. That should get them some points in the GOP.

In fairness, one of the central tenets of the Sikh faith is that it's your duty to the "Great Creator" to defend rights of all who are wrongfully oppressed or persecuted regarless of religion, race or social caste.
So, in a way, they are correct in saying you can't be a devout Sikh and true Republican simultaneously.

That type of hate speech has no place in our party or organization.

Hate to break it to you, ma'am, but that type of hate speech is the core platform of your party. Have you been paying zero attention to the things your fellow GOP members have said and done over the last 13 years regarding non-whites, non-straights, non-men, non-Christians, and non-Americans?

Yes, but that does not extend to pacifism. Sikhs beliefs accept that a violent response may be necessary and moral.

http://www.thesikhencyclopedia.com/philosophy/ahimsa

The positive values of ahimsa like compassion, love, universal brotherhood, freedom and self respect must prevail. However, if these are violated, man must resist. When all peaceful methods for such resistance are exhausted, the use of sword, so says Guru Gobind Singh, is lawful (Zafarnamah, verse 22). The use of sword, however, is not for any personal gain or advancement; it has to be for the general good. Thus was the doctrine of ahimsa reinterpreted. The Gurus affirmed their faith in its positive values, but if himsa became necessary to resist and defeat the forces violating these values, it was not considered antagonistic to ahimsa
