"Cramer said her aunt struck her with the dish three times. On the third blow, the glass shattered and sent banana cake all across the kitchen floor, Cramer said."

The banana cake is a lie.

If everyone were armed with banana bread these incidents wouldn't be possible.

2013-02-28 09:48:20 PM
If everyone had pyrex dishes none of this would have happened

Was it real pre-1998 borosilicate Pyrex®, or the cheap tempered soda glass which has been sold under that brand name since then?

I like how they included a picture of a Pyrex dish.

Editor, "your work is good, we just need to have a better way of illustrating what a glass 9x13 Pyrex pan looks like"

Writer "lets include a picture, that way the reader feels connected to the story!"

The new stuff is kinda green, and the borosilicate was completely uncolored, correct?

The correct expression is:

Toxic lead coated glass cookware? Damn near killed her!

Who throws a banana bread?  Really, who does that sort of thing?  That really hurt, you idiot.

Broke on the third swing, boy, they don't make Pyrex the way they used to.  You used to be able to beat the niece and the nephew all day with that cookware.  Another American product losing quality.

It is kind of surprising to see this come out of Davison, it's a quite little town.  This only the second Florida type story I have heard come out of that town.  Which is saying a lot since it is where Michael Moore grew up.  You won't get anyone from Davison to admit to it, even the Moore's.

Nieces and nephews ain't what they used to be, either. Maybe it's the not enough hitting.

I know the writer of the article, and from that, I can tell you the picture was added purposely for a joke.

Pyrex® is a registered trademark of the Pyrex Dish Corporation. Use of Pyrex® to bake banana bread to use as a projectile without permission from the Pyrex Dish Corporation and Major League Baseball is prohibited.

Reminds me of the time my senior year in college, one of my apartment-mates picked a fight with me while I was baking bread.  At the time, I was about 5'9", 175 pounds, very muscular.  Something very frightening happens to my face when I get truly pissed off -- my eyes go bloodshot, I show my teeth like an animal.  She turned pure white.  I was about to clean her clock with a bread pan, but she ran.  I chased her through the apartment, through the parking lot, all the way to her truck, which she got in and drove away.  I don't think I ever saw her again after that. . .
