CrankyAndi: The Ice Queen: So spoke with the vet tonight, apparently Rocky is QUITE hyperthyroid. Going to pick up a weeks worth of meds and then she'll get an exam to see how she's doing before we start fiddling too much with the dose. I'll have to get a copy of the results so I can keep down here in case she has problems during the week and go to the vet here.

She's probably about 1/3 or so the size now. She might actually be able to fit in the box if I still knew where it was 3 years later :p

Bob the cat took tapazole for a good 4 years before he passed away.......you can do it!!!!

Bob the cat is how I learned to pill a cat.  Now I feel like a pro.

[i112.photobucket.com image 640x480]

Bob was my Dad's cat...I adopted Bob when my parents moved to an Alzheimer's home.  I adopted their dog Wraggs too

Above is a shot of Bob with my Dad.  Dad has been gone since December 2007...Bob departed June 2009.  I miss them both.

Look at that LOVE! So cute! Glad you have lovely memories of them to hold onto

I figured I was in trouble for taking extras...
"Just taking a couple of these hats with me to give to the neighbor kids. I'll pay for them if that's necessary."
She chewed me up one side and down the other and said if she saw me there again, she'd call security.

A guy has to poop occasionally, so I guess I'll need to find me some other place to "take care of business"
until we get this sewer fiasco rectified. Ergo, no hushpuppies for QJ for the foreseeable future.

Looks like we'll be implementing 'Code Hushpuppy' at the hospital soon.

All shelters should print that out and tape it to the cages of adoptable cats.
So many wonderful furry old souls out there just waiting for loving people to take them home and be their bffs.

Feel free to repro and share.

May do just that.... Knew there would eventually be a reason to justify the cost of buying new printer cartridges.

[i870.photobucket.com image 465x409]

Yeah, teh ink is insanely expensive, but if you print and distribute? One adoption would be worth it! Two, fabulous..Three, I might just explode! :)

If you print multiple poems on one (lovely color?) page and cut them (neatly, with a paper cutter),  you'll have less cost and a pretty thin strip on the cage that is noticed but doesn't distract from the pretty furry thing inside. :)

Don't worry, the meds take effect very quickly. BTW, I forgot to mention that if you should decide to use the trans-dermal gel, you must wear (powder-free) latex gloves when applying it. If you start with the pills, remember to wash your hands after handling them. Good luck, and ...
