We're going to need a bigger truck.

Because of it's small size and lack of any real speed or strength the wily Prius must use stealth to attack it's prey from behind.

The car that hit the tow truck, a Toyota Prius, was avoiding a tractor trailer that was switching lanes while the Prius was passing by in the left lane.

Not only do we *not* have a convoy, but it is also not a beautiful sight.

That Prius looks a lot better than the truck.

I guess it probably wasn't built to be hit high in the back of the cab, but still.

Having driven a prius, I'm surprised this was possible.

Sure looks to me like the driver of the truck could not have survived that if they were in the cab.

I suspect the person that seemed to cause the accident (semi) just kept going oblivious to the carnage they caused.

No Time To Explain: Prius driver

In my experience, whatever personality defect compels people to drive Priuses also makes them extremely unpredictable and dangerous. I knew this one "guy" who saved up enough money from his paper route and blood/semen donations to put a down payment on a new Prius. We all warned him that the power of owning a hybrid vehicle would probably send him over the edge into megalomania. He blew us off and continued to drive his psychomobile everywhere, at all hours of the day. We could see the toll it was taking on him--the unblinking twitchiness, the unprovoked laughter, the smell of urine and estrogen emanating from his cargo pants. We staged an intervention. We made napalm with styrofoam and gasoline and flung it burning from tennis raquets onto shrubbery, just to show him how awesome petroleum products are. We loaded him into a shopping cart and shoved him down a steep hill, just to remind hiom of the thrill of going full speed. Nothing would shake him of his selfish delusion. He started to collect stamps. He donated money to the World Wildlife Fund. (Funny aside: at first, he sent the money to the World Wrestling Federation, unaware that pandas don't normally engage in cage matches.) Eventually he dusted off his bicycle in a final, lunatic effort to reduce his carbon footprint. Fortunately, we were able to hold him down and pour Jack Daniels down his throat and set him up for a DUI/collision that ended his folly. Let this be a lesson to all.

Catching up on a whole series is quite an investment. I appreciate the response though.
