Not true. They're speed holes; they make the car go faster.

dahmers love zombie: GAT_00: Nina_Hartley's_Ass: No responsible gun owners around to stop this idiot?

What do you mean? This is what Responsible Gun Owners think safety looks like.

Um, that'd be a no.  Saw that on the news last night and when they said he was facing felony charges, I said "good".

Of course, I'm one of the traitorous pro-gunners who doesn't have a problem with more extensive background checks and licensing.  I would also love a written test to be added to the concealed handgun course that had questions similar to this situation.  "Is Jose justified in firing off rounds into Eddie's car as he flees?"  If you don't pass the farking test, you don't get the license.

Question 2: You see a man in a parking lot shooting at a car traveling away from him. Do you:

A) draw your weapon and fire at the car?
B) draw your weapon and fire at the shooter?
C) draw your weapon and ask the shooter why he's firing at the car?
D) start to wonder why either of you is carrying a gun?

What the hell is happening to this country.  A man can't shoot at a stranger in a crowded parking lot for no reason?  Thanks a lot, Obama.

Yes, randomly shooting at people in a public space is definitely behavior we should praise and encourage in the general populace.  I hope you don't own anything more dangerous than a can opener and I'm sorry for your mental disability.

Not random. The guy committed a crime and has a long history of criminal actions. The concerned citizen was trying to make sure he didn't get away. I swear, liberalism is a disease...

Yes, RoboCitizen accessed Interpol through his CyberLink and IDed the perp before dispensing justice.

What the hell does that even mean??

It means he committed a felony you idiot.

My point is that he shouldn't be charged with anything but instead be praised for attempting to protect the store from theft of a career criminal that is a waste of life. Now who's the idiot? You

I commend you for your trolling.  In case you really do have the IQ of a stump, the reason why it's a crime to shoot a weapon in a public area is that it's possible that you could accidentally shoot some innocent people.  You know, public endangerment.  This is of course aside from the fact that the guy who committed the felony is neither a police officer, nor Batman, and was not threatened in any way by the thief and had no justification for taking out, let alone firing, his gun.  Even if he were Batman, we all know that Batman prefers non-lethal tactics and doesn't like guns, so he's doing a very poor job of being Batman and that in itself should be a crime.

Dumb Story Bro Time:

Monday afternoon a friend and I were standing in the parking lot of the local sporting goods outlet discussing the lack of selection they had in the reloading section when this 40-something lady ran by carrying a large purse with packages of beef jerky spilling out of it.  We watched in amusement as the worlds fattest security guard came huffing and puffing after her, losing ground every time he paused to yell at her to stop.

She got away easily, and the guard eventually came wandering back, picking up beef jerky packages as he went.  As he passed us he threw the ol' stinkeye and snapped "Thanks, guys!" at us.

Not sure what he expected us to do in this case.  I am certainly not going to tackle some middle aged woman in a icy parking lot over some beef jerky.  And there wasn't a damn thing about the situation that warranted pulling a weapon.  Just print her picture off of the security cams and ban her from the store for chrissakes.

I think we need a new version of Poe's Law purely for gun threads.  I propose that we refer to it as LaPierre's Law:

In any thread about guns or gun control, statements taking an outrageously pro-gun position, even going as far as advocating summary execution of petty criminals, will be indistinguishable from those statements which are intentionally trolling.

Dimensio: The course also requires demonstration of firearm proficiency by way of firing twenty shots at a target at 20 feet (many courses set the target at 21 feet due to the range measuring distance in yards) with a minimum of 55% accuracy (shots must hit the target itself, not just the paper upon which the target is marked). I had thought this accuracy test to be too lenient, but it is evidently more stringent than is the requirement of Florida.

Remember, it's Florida -- we give driver licenses to blind people.  I am not joking.  My mom-in-law is legally blind in one eye and has a cataract in the other.  Her doc cleared her for driving because the doctors are well-aware that if they get a reputation for pulling licenses from the old people, their practices will dry up.  So we have old people driving blind to the gun store and taking the CCW course.  Now, if they PASS it, they'll go buy a $500 gun from the gun store.  If they fail it, they won't.
