Somacandra: "Kilroy Was Here"  is certified platinum and got to #3 on the charts. Two singles got to #3. And it was a powerful hit back against both the creeping fascism of the Reagan administration and the baseless accusations of Satanism against the band by the California state legislature and reactionary evangelical groups in the mass media. It has its weaknesses to sure, but "Cold War," "Heavy Metal Poisoning" and "Don't Let It End" are be powerful songs any arena-rock band would be happy to have in their repertoire.

That sounds so much better when read in Patrick Bateman's voice from American Psycho.

You know that song is actually about alien abductions, don't you?

Did anyone ever think it was about anything else? The line "I thought that they were angels, but to my surprise/
We climbed aboard their starship, we headed for the skies" makes it pretty obvious.

Of course, you could always sing it this way:
I thought that they were angels
When much to my surprise
We climbed abord their starship
They called her Enterprise...

But is it stuck in your head in Cartman's voice?

I just wish someone would inform Tommy Shaw that no, you weren't really in a heavy metal band when you were with Styx.
