SpdrJay: Because driving fast means you have an enormous penis!
strangeluck: Not a celeb, not a cop, not anyone noteworthy, and he avoids jail after doing all that?/wtf
Benjamin Orr: strangeluck: Not a celeb, not a cop, not anyone noteworthy, and he avoids jail after doing all that?/wtfI am sure he is related to somebody "important" though.
CruJones: I hit 120 on the new toll road last month, but the speed limit is 85, and there are zero cops and almost no other cars. And if I wrecked the only damage would be to me, my car, and an empty field./wanted to see that German engineering at work
lilbjorn: Sounds white.
Abox: I didn't see anything in there about NASCAR. Or was this headline ironically obvious. Just obvious?
Rivetman1.0: I did not like this part .The car's computer system indicated the car was traveling at 142 mph just before it left the road, the prosecutor said -fark you Mr Prosecutor that's not your information it's mine.Or correct me if I am wrong here.
Dadoody: Meanwhile, 2 Black people were given felonies in Illinois for sneaking into a movie.
LeGnome: Am I the only one who realizes that this is not really unusual? First offense, no injuries usually means no jail time. I know at least two other people who have been in similar situations and had similar sentences. I know, I know, "142... ooh scary!" but for DUI, reckless driving etc, you're usually not looking at jail time on your first offense.
85blue: It didn't mention how much he paid his attorney.15 grand will get a person out of almost any DUI even with priors. You can tell he had a great attorney because he only paid 3 grand in fines. Most DUI cases will tally up to around 10 grand in fines.Although it does say he is under supervision it is unclear if the 3 grand includes this.Supervised probation is not free and you pay to be on it.
LumberJack: You're right, it's best to let the asshole actually destroy a minivan and half of the occupants' family tree before we really put the screws to them.
