Hillbilly Jim: HideAndGoFarkYourself: I don't see how this is a bad move for the Chiefs, or Smith.  Yes, Smith isn't going to throw for 300 yards week-in and week-out, but he's not a terrible quarterback.

If the Chiefs can get a little O-Line help, Smith will have an elite running game with Jamaal Charles.  He'll have a quality receiver to throw to in Dwayne Bowe.  In the right offense, this could work out quite well.

What in Andy Reid's coaching history gives you any semblance of hope for an elite running game?

LeSean McCoy isn't a slouch running back.  1400 yards, 17 TD's in 2011, 1100 yards and 7 TD's in 2010.  That's pretty darn good.  Jamaal Charles is a better runner than McCoy, more elusive and faster. I see no reason why Charles can't put up 1,500 yards again next year, or more.  I think Smith is a better passer than Cassel too, which will open up Charles just as his running will open up the passing game.

For the record, the draft order of the AFC West QBs is now, Palmer (First Overall), Smith (First Overall), Manning (First Overall), Rivers (Fourth Overall).

Not bagging on McCoy but can an Iggles fan help me out here? Reid is a pass first coach with very little balance. Elite running game isn't what Andy is about at all.

Glenechocreek: Dafatone: Glenechocreek: So, the Niners add a 2nd round pick to add to their huge stash that they can deal to get Darrelle Revis.  That works for me.

I'm worried that Revis is a bigger name than he is a talent.

I have no idea if this is true.  I'm just worried about it.  The Niners could use a CB, and if Revis can be even 75% of what he was, he and Carlos Rogers will be awesome until Rogers remembers that he's already 31.

Niners could still use some help at safety, but it's more that their secondary is weaker than their d-line and LBs than that their secondary is actually weak.

/Just... keep Chris Culliver off the farking field.
//Christ.  Flacco didn't even have a gameplan other than "float the ball in Culliver's direction.
///You can either be an asshole, or suck.  Not both.

Revis is considered to be a serious game-changer. Remember what happened when Dion Sanders came here?

Sure, but he's also coming off a pretty big injury.  If we give up a ton to get him and he's only very good, that could be a problem.

Still, I'd MUCH rather have to yell at him than Culliver.

The NFC East almost has that matched if it wasn't for that guy in Dallas: NYG (1st), PHI (1st), DC (2nd), DAL (Undrafted).

/actually thought they had it beaten until I looked up Romo
//Romolicious screws it up again

El Brujo: Derek Anderson will start for Cleveland this year, who will send Weeden to Arizona, who will send Kolb back to Philly, who will then obviously send Vick to Oakland.

Is this some warped NFL version of Mornington Crescent that NFL Network will soon be forcing its talking heads to play, on-air?

/I'd watch it...

Consider this, McCoy earned most of those yards in spite of being underused and unappreciated. First and goal from the 2, Andy says pass three times then kick a field goal.

Would have taken Matt Flynn ahead of him

Hang On Voltaire: Would have taken Matt Flynn ahead of him

Wilson is cheap and still somewhat new to the league.  The Seahawks are going to hold on to Flynn for another year or two, just as an insurance policy.

Probably not two, but it's possible that they could do one more year.
