Well, according the the Jedi Academy series (I think by Kevin Anderson), a Jedi had to go through a period of darkness to truly become a Jedi Master.

Don't think anybody else actually followed that line however.

Would likely be more obscure if ComicsAlliance wasn't int the process of reviewing all the TMNT movies and highlighted that line specifically as a high point,

Those colors are to match with Flyers colors.  Although cheesing off hardcore star Wars geeks is probably on the list too. Hey, I love Star Wars. But I'm not going to get super  pedantic about it.

Exactly, he's already stretching the league uniform policy to the limit with the blue on R2D2. A tonal shift to bright green on an orange themed team is just asking for the $2500 per game fine for that policy violation.

It's not the wrong color; it's a special edition.

And all you people saying "Han Shot First" imply that multiple shots were fired.  Han wouldn't miss if he was that close to Greedo

I thought the Goalies had pretty much free reign on their helmet designs

See, that's the thing about only around 20 years passing between the PT and the OT. And having boatloads of Jedi during that time, instead of perhaps a beleagered smaller order that was on the verge of being snuffed out.

No.  Red/Green colorblindness just means that something red out on the lawn is going to be REALLY hard for that person to see.  You see red & you see green, what you can't see though is one color out in a field of the other color (such as red lawn darts or a cardinal in a tree).  Never heard of exchanging the colors before (it doesn't happen)

I never claimed the show was "great".... I only know about it cause somebody picked it to watch during lunches in the lunchroom on Netflix for a few weeks at work.  It is passable entertainment for that.

But, did seem appropriate for the headline in a non-SW way... and appropriate to match up with the crazy Hawks run to start the season.
