I get low-frequency diesel engine noise reverberating in my house, 2 miles away from the railyard. The severity varies but it can be irritating as fark. Who are we to poo-poo this guy's claims?

Wind farm illness is a psychosomatic disorder caused by suggesting wind farms can cause illness. Once introduced to a community this psychosomatic illness can become wide spread. It is a close relative to cell-tower illness, which can affect people before the tower is even turned on.

"It gets to be jet-engine loud," said Falmouth resident Neil Andersen. He and his wife Betsy live just a quarter mile from one of the turbines.

Four football fields away and it's as loud a jet?  Alrighty then.  Turn down your hearing aid, Neil.

jamspoon: TFA: "The first turbine went up in 2010 and by the time both were in place on the industrial site of the town's water treatment facility, the price was $10 million. Town officials say taking them down will cost an estimated $5 million to $15 million, but that is just what Falmouth's five selectmen have decided to move toward doing."

Glossing over the reason to remove them how about removing the blades. Should come in somewhat cheaper than $5-15 million

It might be that the windmills aren't fully paid off or they pre-sold the electricity to pay for them. Thus in removing the windmills they have to compensate whoever pre-bought said electricity.

If you live in Falmouth, and that is what you are complaining about, then you are a paid shill.
that place is a shiathole.

That wouldn't happen to have Otis Air National Guard base right near there would it?  Hey, Neil... I think I know what's causing those jet noises.

My home bill topped $350 last month (50 cents per kwh), and the power company says its going up again...
This is a problem I wouldn't mind having.

/Writing the check rustles my jimmies far more than wind turbines shake my tubulars.
