No, they are just adding a different kind of person.  Instead adding the moderate, independent person who thought the GOP was too conservative they are adding the super conservative, independent person who thought the GOP wasn't conservative enough.  You know, morons.

Who would have thought that republican gerrymandering would lead to their downfall.

Death to moderates, Death to compromisers, Death to thinkers and death to those who would their district over party purity!  only when we have selfless dedication to the purity of the conservative agenda may we reach utopia

So is this the beginning of the era where they just keep finding ways to ignore the Hastert Rule to pass moderate legislation without the appearance of capitulating as a party?

When you sow the devi's tail in bed, you've got to dance with the tiger you'll reap.

Watching the GOP eat its own fills me with glee. If only there were a word to describe this emotion.

Purify them with fire. Our candidates must be so conservative, their chief complaint is that they aren't conservative enough. That they hate Obama is a given, but their conservatism must persist even unto the fourth and fifth generations - they must hate Sasha and Malia, sure (again, that's a given); but also anything that Obama's touched and anything that that has touched (x3); as well as anything else that may have once been used by anyone with the first initial B, middle initial H or last initial O (fark the Irish).

If these were characters in a book, they'd be too cliche - audiences would hate it. It's like cartoonish Nazis (or Captain Planet villains) - they don't even want a master race or economic independence or money, they just want people to suffer (or to be seen as "the mostest super-conservativest EVAR").

// and that's the joke crux

From the article listing the targets: Rep. Larry Bucshon (R-Ind.)

As a liberal, do it and I'll throw some money in the primary race. Buschon is worthless and has literally done nothing worth mentioning. He votes straight ticket and wants to keep the status quo. He won in the 2010 Teatard wave, and the district is VERY flippable for a blue dog if the competition is crazy.

By all means, Republicans, primary the hell out of my representative. I won't miss him.

Dr Dreidel: audiences would hate it.

The audience does hate it. And when the curtain comes down and nobody's clapping, backstage they're congratulating each other on the job well done all the same.
