Considering how John "Daddy got me my military career" McCain bent over backwards to kiss and make up to Bush and his cronies after they just about raped him during his first primary run, I think he needs to slap himself.

Also if I was Chuck, I'd send drones following those idiots and show them how effective he can be.  "Oh, here's a nice high resolution one with you and your pool boy senator..."

"Several GOP senators who were directly involved in the Hagel fight ... said they were willing to work with Hagel but that it was Hagel's responsibility, not the Senate's, to mend fences and prove that he can do the job."

They're psychopaths.  They're just farking psychopaths.  Only someone completely farking deranged could smear a decorated vet like Republicans did, fabricating a terrorist organization to connect said decorated vet to, and then demand that said smeared vet had to be the one to fix the damage caused by said smearing.  Psychopaths, every last one of them.

This sounds awfully familiar.  I distinctly recall this line ("it's HIS job to reconcile") being used with regards to Obama.  After 5 farking years, this is all these assholes have.  Who the fark votes for these shiat-eating morons?

/I think I answered my own question.

"Chuck Hagel will be confirmed because Senate Democrats stood united behind President [Barack] Obama's nomination of the most controversial secretary of defense in modern times,"

What? Short memory huh?

Swear to God, these people could walk across the street, punch you in the nose, and then demand an apology for hurting their fists.

Not as controversial. You see he was nominated by a Republican Vice-President

Next time they leave the country, he should add a side trip to GITMO for them.

"We are heartened that the overwhelming majority of senators from one of the two major parties voted against confirming Mr. Hagel," Kristol said in a statement after the vote.
