(Krypton Radio)   Take the Beatles, a little early cowboy music, add some punk and a large amount of pantomime, steam-punk, and Sci-Fi/Fantasy gaming and you get these guys (w/video)   (kryptonradio.com) divider line 17

Steampunk music is usually an acquired taste, but these guys while using the steampunk theme, really have a great selection of music that I think non-steampunk fans would like. Saying they're like the Beatles mixed with punk is actually pretty accurate. The way they harmonize is just, omg awesome. I highly recommend them for for a listen, a lot of their songs are on youtube. Link here to one of my favs.

Actually, here's a way better one. "Honey Bee"

Another artsy-fartsy band with paint on their faces?

I'll stick with Blue Man Group, thanks...

That was amusing.

I saw them live once. At the zoo.

Given the three links already posted, I'd have to say I'm not a fan, but to each their own. Maybe Beatles mixed with "steam-punk", not "punk". I can not tell you how much these guys DO NOT remind me of the Vandals, the Dwarves or the Dead Kennedys.

Music geared at a small demographic?  MC Frontalot (NerdCore) can probably give some advice:

Yeah, I couldn't get into the music itself... but I do appreciate a band that puts on a great show along with the music.  Seems like these dudes would be fun to see live, even though the music itself doesn't do anything for me.

Yeah, can't load video at work, but given that they've got so many props and so much makeup that they  make Spinal Tap look like the Ed Sullivan Beatles, I'm willing to go out on a limb and say they suck like Lindsay Lohan dropped within five yards of a coke dealer.

It's... pretty much inevitable.

You shouldn't judge them until you listen to them.

Their music reminds me a lot of Moxy Fruvous. Very nice find.

That was....odd, I guess.  Not being a music critic here but I think that would take some time to get used to and appreciate...for me at least.  I respect the fact that the group adds more elements to their stage show instead of 4 guys just standing there playing.

My ex is constantly promoting this band, and this is the first time I have heard of them outside of his endorsements. Maybe I'll have to take a listen now; we always had very similar musical tastes.

My GF and I are into steampunk inspired music and she loves Steam-Powered Giraffe. Voltaire is another one of her favorites, but neither one is really to my liking. I can appreciate them, but I wouldn't add them to my playlist. I'm more of an Abney Park, Dr. Steel kind of guy. Though I also love The Cog is Dead and have recently discovered Unwoman, who is fantastic.

Kids, this isn't quite what we were expecting when we played our blues, progressive jazz,  alt rock and punk as you were growing up. It's nice, but it just isn't our taste. Always remember, Mommy and Daddy love you very, very much.
