Don't worry, it's as stupid as you imagine it to be...

A tear drop shaped bathtub with a rudder in the back for steering and a 6' tall smoke stack in the front... And as one would imagine, the boat, when filled, sits about 2 inches above the waterline... kinda like a sunk boat...

2013-02-27 08:02:02 AM
nope

Death Star Ice Mold on their main page looks sweet though......

Oh, and all the pictures either show the boat vacant, or full of dudes...

Not that im implying it has anything to do with being gay, it's really just an implication that i believe no sane woman would ride in this thing

I believe that thing is somewhat lacking in stability.

What happens when somebody jumps out, and then tries to climb back in?

2013-02-27 08:18:40 AM
Yeah.. That doesn't look safe

Shrinkage. The lake was cold!

I bet it would be fun for about 20 minutes or until another boat went by and sends a nice dose of cold water into the boat. If I want a hot tub, I'll just rent a room at the local hourly motel.

/it's a repeat btw

why does it sit so close to the waterline?  won't this sink with a little horseplay or people shifting from side to side?

2013-02-27 09:10:19 AM
What it needs is a toilet.

The boat is made of molded expanded foam that is then covered with fiberglass. Its bouancy. Is greater than its fully burdened load.

Yeah, but can it go through time?

So after 15 or 20 minutes when your all pruned up and need a break where exactly do you go?

2013-02-27 10:16:32 AM
They already have hot tub boats.  They're called "cruise ships".

C'mon people a HOT TUB BOAT. I'd have been knee deep in babes if I had this in High School. Hot? Climb over the side for a few minutes.

It's only missing a built in wet bar.

It'd be incredibly awesome if it had a little steam engine on it, and a steam whistle.

If that's a smokestack and not some other sort of exhaust, 6' high or no, you'd better hope for a tailwind.

It's wood heated.

Checklist:

1) Will it make me wet?
2) Will it make me sweat?

Were sinking, start bailing!

For one, there's no actual air pump or jets in it so it's basically just a giant bathtub. Also, it would take an hour to fill that thing and another 3-4 hours to get it up to temp. With no way to circulate the water, its going to be twice as hot in the front as the back. There doesn't appear to be anywhere to store any extra wood so I guess you have to stick close to shore or come back every hour to restock the stove.

Are you supposed to just use lake water to fill it? Not many lakes are clean enough these days to just be sitting around relaxing in, you pump in some bacteria with the water and you and all your friends can be nice and sick for the weekend.

Lastly, there's no barrier between the wood stove and the water, if anyone slides into that thing their going to have some nice third degree burns.

First thing I thought of.  Looks like they float about the same, too.
