As the father of a teenage son, I've taught him there are consequences for doing stupid shiat. that doesn't necessarily mean a kick in the nuts, but if he came home with a black eye and told me he got his ass beat for destroying someone else's property in the name of getting some laughs. I'd tell him he got exactly what he deserved.

When I grew up, we had corporal punishment in school. That meant, if sending you to detention didn't work, they had the option of a very large male asst principal whipping your ass. I can tell you that was a bigger deterrent than a couple of hours in D-hall.

Anyway, if they don't punish these kids somehow, there will be waves of dumbass sheep doing this and posting videos to Youtube, and one of them will probably end up really hurting himself and his parents will sue the grocery store. That's what happens in a world with no ass-whippings.

Costing the store money and time to clean up your mess just because you wanted some kicks. I think at least a punch in the head is warranted.

dc0012c: I don't think they should come to any harm, they should just be required to pay for the milk and juice they trashed. Not their parents, the kids themselves. They should also remunerate the stores for the hours spent to clean it up. Maybe even be required to spend a commensurate amount of time working in those stores, cleaning up the mess from other idiots like themselves. If they can't or won't, a month in juvvie should suffice.

Also, cleaning up after vandalism (especially when the vandals readily identify themselves) shouldn't be a cost the stores need to carry.
