dletter: Chicago Deep Dish/Stuffed pizza is not traditional "pizza"... it is what it is, yes, maybe even a cassarole. But, if you are in the mood for it, and go to a place that makes a tasty pizza (Giordanos for instance), then it is good. There was a place up when I lived in Highwood, I think it might have been in Highland Park, that was an awesome deep dish, sauce was excellent... this was like 15 years ago though, so, don't recall the name or if they'd even still be there.But, beyond that anyway, Chicago Thin-crust demolishes NY style thin crust.On a third note, hopefully GreggM shows up to this thread, since I tried making his recipe for a chicago style thin crust pizza, which while the pizza "construction" wasn't bad, but, the sauce recipe I tried didn't pan out well, so, want to get his advice on that.
