Gotta say, that's a pretty good execution of a highly unique concept.

Holy crap, yes! That is pretty damn cool.

Excellent jersey, though I have heard and seen some similar concepts before in futbol yet not as a standard. Besides, having 1451 season ticket holders is not exactly terrible...

Fourteen hundred odd? Seattle farts in your general direction!

That's...pretty cool, actually.

That is a damn good idea, and looks pretty snazzy to boot.

Great idea, but not unique. Alaves and Parma have both done it before.

I agree this is cool for the ticket holders, but in a way this feels a little like Nascar.

If you pay extra, will they put on a special patch.

1451 is about 8% of their stadium's capacity.  Pretty good, I'd say, especially for a not-quite-there-but-maybe-in-10-years league.

It doesn't help that their stadium is in the freaking middle of nowhere.  I bet if they were either closer to front range or downtown Denver, they would have more season ticket holders. (The stadium itself is really nice, but Commerce City is a shiat hole.)

Having been to Dick's Sporting Goods Park once, I wholeheartedly agree.  Waaaaaay out there, and man did leaving that parking lot make me wish there were public transit options more available.

This is a league with the New York Red Bulls in a sport that commonly has sponsor names splashed across the front of the jerseys bigger than the team's logo:

This is only an issue if you don't know the teams playing, which is 0% of the time as the names are on the scorebox or if you're going to a game so you can see a team's logo on the side of the stadium itself or on a programme.

One logo is fine, several (like Nascar/F1) is a lot more jarring.

That's pretty neat. I think they tried to do that before but since it was a non standard uniform or something they couldn't wear it in league play. Glad to see they were able to work it into their home kit.

The Crew season ticket holders get a gift every year and my ticket rep said they were considering a scarf with all the season ticket holder names on it, which sounds fairly nice.

Hopefully it's one of those silk scarves, which even then don't make sense in the MLS since they play in the summer. You need a scarf for an EPL match because it's miserable outside

The full season ticket holder number is closer to 3600, IIRC.  1451 is apparently the number of season ticket holder accounts.  So if you bought 2 season tickets for you and your spouse, that would be just one account, and only your name would be on there.  Same if you bought 4 season tickets together for you and 3 friends.

It's already there in some parts of the country; Sporting Kansas City had to cap their season tickets at 14,000 this year (the stadium holds 18,500 officially; 20,500 or so with gameday SRO sales).

RSL, which is one of the smaller markets in MLS, averages 18k a home game now.
