mitchcumstein1: I've never heard most of those songs in a strip joint.
likefunbutnot: My real-life social circle includes a bunch of strippers. I've never in my entire life heard six of those songs though I think the Nine Inch Nails song is on approximately hourly rotation.Since I usually see my friends right as the place is opening, what I like to do is find the most weird and inappropriate things for girls to dance to. One recent example: "The Terrible Secret of Space."
Godscrack: The last time my hetero friends dragged me to a strip club with them, I was surprised to hear the dj play Sober by Tool.Great bass line made for nasty grindings. Arrrrr.
Gosling: I do not go to strip clubs, but if I were so inclined to do the same, I think I'd go with The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald.
Dumb-Ass-Monkey: I once saw a girl do a strip to Godsmack's Voodoo. It was slow, seductive, and so insanely sexy.It doesn't happen often, but once every so often you can find a stripper with actual talent and creativity.
SandmanEsq: Lords of Acid: Show Me Your Pussy.
Special J: Every Rose Has It's ThornHow could this be left off?/fail
sforce: How do they not have T-Pain (no clue who he is) - I'm in Love with a Stripper on that list?
The Silver Mullet: In the 90's every stripper danced to one Ace of Base song or another. Every. Single. One.
Gulper Eel: [upload.wikimedia.org image 281x285]No?
Happy Hours: Gulper Eel: [upload.wikimedia.org image 281x285]No?I'm familiar with that band and those songs, but I've never seen that artwork. And I own every KC album up until at least a few years ago.Weird.And I've never heard Crimson in a strip club although there's a story that I've heard about Robert Fripp staying in a hotel one time and turning on some cheap-ass soft porn movie and they were using Lark's Tongue in Aspic (presumably part 2) as a soundtrack.Needless to say he was not pleased that someone was ripping his music off without giving him royalties.
Snapper Carr: SandmanEsq: Lords of Acid: Show Me Your Pussy. Also acceptable - I Sit on Acid
ReapTheChaos: Who the fark goes to a strip club and listens to the music?
Onkel Buck: Special J: Every Rose Has It's ThornHow could this be left off?/failIt was inspired by Brett Michaels stripper girlfriend who he caught cheating on him so Im going to agree with you. But Im sure there is some biatch named Destiny or Diamond out there that does some kind of clumsy interpertive dance to it
Mikey1969: I hardly EVER go to strip joints, and I've heard almost all of them. Including "The Final Countdown", which I think made post #2. You also hear "Welcome to the Jungle" quite often. Not having "Girls, Girls, Girls" is stupid for a strip club, because the song is actually ABOUT strip clubs.
buckstar: Tool: Sober
NashMcNash: As a former strip club DJ, I can confirm that this list is accurate. The only difference is, I used to play the Rob Zombie version of Brick House, instead of the Commodores.
CigaretteSmokingMan: [i172.photobucket.com image 541x393]
DonkeyDixon: I was getting a lap dance once and whoever was on stage had the DJ play Stairway to Heaven. Def got my $20 worth but boy was my dancer pissed
KatjaMouse: CigaretteSmokingMan: [i172.photobucket.com image 541x393]Didn't it turn out that the girl's mother actually shoveled driveways for charity money?
mcmnky: NashMcNash: As a former strip club DJ, I can confirm that this list is accurate. The only difference is, I used to play the Rob Zombie version of Brick House, instead of the Commodores.Even the 2 live crew?
GypsyJoker: Quite possibly the best tune for stripping: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeawPUpTHJAGoldfrapp's "Strict Machine." Strange video; awesome tune.
KatjaMouse: I always thought these would make good stripper songs myself:Angel - Massive AttackThe Hop - Radio Citizen
